Bottle 0,75ltr: Opaque black brew with big foamy beige head, with intense bitter taste due the coffeebeans and long bitter aftertaste also in your gullet. Like this coffee stout version 2 very much.

magdalar (475) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JAN 30, 2012
Bottle 75cl, Dec 2010, #312. Pours black as night, with a large gushing brown head with excellent lacing -- very inviting. Smells sweet, of chocolate and espresso, with some wood and alcohol notes. Tastes a heavy sweet, medium bitter, and noticeable but pleasant alcohol, with some vanilla and tons of dark malts. Texture is creamy. Full bodied. Soft carbonation. Finishes slightly bitter, like a good coffee. Very pleasant.

maneliquor (1190) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Bottle number 128 of 431. Almost 2 years old now. Pours dark brown with a few lumps coming out during the pour. Light tan head which disappears quickly and leaves no lacing. Loads of coffee on the nose mingles with subtle smoke and dark, salted chocolate. Slight whiskey tones and burnt wood comes through as well. Melds together very nicely. Big, bitter coffee beans and heavy, dark cocoa powder in the taste. Mocha is an understatement. The coffee/chocolate tones mix with charred malts and smoke. A touch of vanilla comes through. The end is slightly herbal before a little heat and tar finishes it off. Intensity at its highest. Slight oxidation has crept in but it works well. Very lengthy bitter coffee on the palate. Nice beer but I found the taste didn’t quite come together as well as I’d hoped. Is still worth a go

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2011 Very dark brown beer, black in the glass. A hugh head. Nicely roasted, chocolate and very nice mixed coffee. Sweet, good siropy and really decent for sure, you really taste the malts, coffee, and a very decent mocca touch. Even better then expected. But I love te taste of coffee. Nice one. Hope to get some more bottles of this one.

Bottle. Thanks Borresteijn for this treat. The beer pours pitch black with a creamy thick beige head. The aroma is loads of coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. The flavour has some sweet roasted notes along with lots of coffee and liquorice. Some chocolate and tobacco. Coffee bitter finish. Lots of coffee here!
