330 ml bottle, pours black with no head and little carbonation. Aroma of coffee cream sweets and grandma’s old chocolate liqueurs, quite sweet, and all the way though a quite thick dense palate and warmth from the alcohol. Pleasant enough, but better out there.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a lot of sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, and a little chocolate. Flavour is bitter coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate – with a slightly bitter finish.

330 ml bottle savoured at home in a beer tasting glass - cellar temperature - bottled 02/09/2011 APPEARANCE: pours tar dark brown with a small light beige head. AROMA: green papricas, herbol, citrus (like dish washing soap), mocca, chocolate brownie (with nuts), roasted malts and slight caramel touch PALATE: medium body with a nice simmering carbonation, giving the right taste dimension. Overall perhaps a tad too watery for my taste. TASTE: coffeeeeeeee, no... yes... especially coffe. And in the end a bit of malt. OVERALL: not as powerful as the Mout&Mocca 2 but one of the better coffee porter I have drunk.

Keg at the euston tap. Pitch black opaque light tan head. Some lace. Aroma is oak scotch whiskey alcohol. Hint of worst in the nose. Flavour is dominated by the oak, choc and mellow roast. Alcohol warmth come in quick. Well made but the balance isn’t there.

On tap at L’Autre Oeil (Gatineau, Qc). Pours an opaque black body with low carbonation and an average beige foamy/creamy head. Complex, rich malty/hoppy aroma with roasted coffee and cocoa hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Its robust, well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries roasty, coffeeish, yeasty, and licorice notes. Alcohol is not agressive at all. Ends with a long, warming bittersweet finish. Exellent!

Bottle from Brewdog shop. Black color, litte bit of brown head. Salty, sweet taste with chocolate, coffee, plum, roasted malts and a bit of smoke. Surprisingly smooth body, the high ABV is very well hidden. Bittersweet finish with coffee and plum. Very nice imperial stout.

A good beer but not much more. It smels like roasted coffee beans and tasts like coffee with mocca. It has Therefore not a strong coffee taste. Maybe a little touch of bitter chocalate. There is not much foam, and the color is pitch black. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
