From a bottle at home in Skövde. Black beer with a minimal offwhite head. Coffee, ashes and a bit floral notes with some figs. Coffee, ashes, vanilla. licorice flavour and some rubber notes. Not De Molens best beer.

Bottle. Black beer with a small beige head. Bitter coffee aroma, ash, tar, smoked notes, notes from car-tyres (?), figs notes. Coffee flavor, vanilla notes, smoked, tar, licorice notes, rubber, hoppy, dark chocolate. Heavy tar and coffee finish with figs and soot. Alcohol is well hidden. Heavy but still balanced and interesting.

33cl bottle pours deep dark mahogany with tan like head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, some burnt malts, wet pavement earthiness and then a chili pepper meat like note. Interesting. The taste has nice rich dark roasted maltiness followed by burnt malts and then an earthy sort of peatiness. It picks up additional notes of chocolate brownie and additional burnt malts notes into the finish. Solid brew.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours quite dark, black in glass, big ugly bubbled tanned head that falls down to a faint laced layer almost imediatly. :( Aroma of coffee and chocolate, also some roasted malts. Taste is full of chocolate and coffee, super malty with a light sweetness for the style, this makes it quite dry on the palate. Super oily and smooth, super nice. Full body of course. Finish has massive amounts of bitternesss, there is alot of earthy hops here, some malt bitterness as well, still there is the sharp coffe bitterness that shines through. The coffee added in this beer suits it really really good

Bottle 330ml.

Clear dark dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dusty coffee, fresh brewed coffee - bean. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted, fresh brewed coffee, coffee coffee, dark dark roasted, sweet coffee, chili notes. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120317]

Tap at ’t Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Pours a muddy, thick black with medium to smaller coffee head. Nice retention. Rich and spicy coffee moving to near vegetal in the nose. Mild smoked meat character. Thicker body, very rich feeling. Excellent beer. Yummy. Coffee forward with spices and mild smoke. Baked dessert nose. Rich espresso nose just on the edge of being too green and reminiscent of DMS. Bottles were uncarbonated so I was lucky to find this on tap. The fiancee loved this one.

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Muddy blackish with a tiny, creamy, beige head. Aroma has herbal coffee notes, light liqourice, dark chocolate, roasted, mildly vinious. Low carbonation, almost flat. Fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of coffee, herbal, grainy, roasted malts, sweet chocolate. Incredibly short on vinious notes - still warming though. Like a good cup of coffee. Incredibly soft.
