@ Ölprovning i Klippan 18/10. Svart färg, skummet försvinner fort. Tung doft av kaffe/kaffebönor. Kaffebönor även i smaken. Inte mycket beska, men en lång eftersmak. Väldigt mycket kaffe/kaffebönor i den här stouten, nästan som att stoppa ner näsan i en burk med nymalda bönor!

Thick black with lots of bubbles, reddish hues in the light. Aroma is strange, lots of coffee but not a nice coffee... A weird coffee. Really hot boozy beer, but not really a warming sipper, a bit out of balance for me... But fortunately I still like booze, 7 thumbs up

Against the light it looks red and cloudy, but it’s black like other stouts. In general it doesn’t have head, only small brown patches. Aroma is great. Notably chocolate, roasted malts and some tobacco/dusty scents. Tastes strongly roasted with some tobacco and dust flavours, going into warming chocolate taste. Carbonation is weak. Finish is rather sweet than bitter. Absolutely top class. [Bottle]

Pours an opaque black with a huge creamy light brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and a touch of alcohol. Flavour is coffee, tangy, chocolate, alcohol, dark malt bitterness, and a mild sweetness.

Pours pitch dark with beige, tan creamy top. Aroma - pure green coffee beans with touch of avg roast. Taste is sweet with medium plus bitter from dark malt, can’t catch hops. Decent flavor, a light astringent on tongue, a bit sharp finish. Palate is less then thick, full bodied, for imp. stout could be more.

Bottled (2011). Appearence : pours very dark brown, almost black, very small light brown head. Aroma : washed out mocca, bit a alcohol. Taste : striking cofee, ends in a subtle chocolate balanced with nice bitterness, long lasting in the mouth. Palate : almost no carbonation, medium bodied. Tasted at the end of the meal, in place of the cofee, was very appreciated.

Saw Ferris’ rating and thought "yeah, I’m gonna have me that". Near black pour, finely bubbled light brown head that fades to a 1/2cm layer. Aroma is green coffee beans, quite vegetal, bordering on capsicum and parsley (my wife did not care for the aroma at all). The palate maintains a strong coffee character, but more raw than roasted, with underlying bitter chocolate. Finish is bitter and warming. Others have commented on how well the ABV is hidden but I have to disagree. The alcohol wasn’t intrusive, but it was certainly there; I found this beer to be quite boozy, but in a pleasing way. Not blown away by this one, but still enjoyed it in the end.

Bottle - Dark roast espresso with some chilies and soy sauce. Jet black with a thin brown head. Chocolate with light coffee and a little bit of apricot in the finish. It isn’t as big as I though it would be which is nice. Smells big, big alcohol, but flavors and balanced and not over the top.
