Dark brown body with dark brown lasting head. Sticky sweet aroma, rich of toffee, dried fruit, thick chocolate. Sticky palate, clinging to your taste buds. Sweet and rich chocolate taste, some cherry and toffee. Forest hops to balance. Super rich imperial stout, powerful sweetness and a true winter warmer. Delicious! (75cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours very dark, almost black with a beige head. Intense and delicious coffee aroma, dark chocolate too. Sweet and roasty with a delicious mocca flavour. Alcohol well integrated. Medium to full body. Nice dessert beer. (2012-12-24)

Dark, almost black colored beer with a very small head and low carbonation. Smells a bit strange first. It takes some time before I recognize the mocca in the aroma. Taste: mocca, coffee, liquor, pure chocolate, wood and alcohol warming coming up at the end. Very good

Bottle at home - 19/11/12 thanks to Dennis. Pours dark cola brown in colour with a tan head that soon clears to a tiny film and nothing on the edges. Prickly looking bubbles dance atop the glass. Big coffee nose, minerals, slightly musty/earthy, roast malts but in the background, it’s really all about the coffee. Taste follows nose, coffee slightly more tempered, chocolate, a little smoke, metallic notes, you pick up a little booze as you swallow but well disguised for 11.6%. Medium bodied - if anything ptretty thin for 11.6%, soft carbonation, roasty coffee infused finish. Overall - a let down, balance not quite right - a little musty and way too thin.

Bottle from Vika, enjoyed at home, september 21st 2012. Very dark brown colored body, foamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, rubber, a bit smoke. Taste follows with a roasty and sweet malt base, chocolate, ashes, and a good bitterness. The smoke stays through the aftertaste, together with coffee and yeast notes. A very nice beer.
