4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Jan shared with him and Craftmember, cheers my friends... Dense, pale greyish beige, medium thick, stable head over a black beer with chestnut edges. Lovely aroma of indeed mocha, coffee grounds, chocolate, candied dates, bayleaf, cured meat, whisky, ’green’ coffee beans, black pepper, wet leather, dried banana, iron. Soft candied sweetness in the onset, figs and raisins surrounded by beefy umami edges and a soft basic sourishness, soft carbo, smooth, thick and oily body of a multi-layered, nutty, caramelly and chocolatey malt sweetness becoming quickly toasted but softly bittering, lots of mocha flavors in the end and retronasally with roasted bitterness, thick and mouth filling but still gentle and creamy, with the malt sweetness persisting; warming whisky-like alcohol and peppery hop bitterness add complexity to the finish. Yet another great Molen stout - I hope they keep up this level of quality now that industrial Bavaria’s influence in this brewery is becoming ever more strong.

Picked this up at some shithole in Vermont. Chugged the whole bottle in under 10 seconds. It was good. Coffee, low carb, roast, not too sweet. I like it.

Bottle, 330 ml. Shared with JFK10000. Pours black with brownish head. Roasted coffee aroma. Sweet, roasted coffee, alcohol well hidden. Bitterish finish. Unfortunately kept this in my cellar for too long, so it got that stale coffee flavor. Even like that it was quite good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Aroma of coffee Nice black colour. Taste a little unpleasant: too much like cold coffee. But the aftertaste is long and very pleasing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl bottle. Dark ruby-brown pour with a very thin beige lacing. The smell is dominated by cold coffee and cocoa. Tastes like cold coffee, too - with some added notes of dark cherries, caramel and roasted malts. Smooth mouthfeel, flat, with a coffee bitter aftertaste.
