New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours an oily black with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee and roast. Taste is a lot of freshly ground coffee and nice chocolate. I noticed some peppery notes in there. Body is kind of thick in a nice drinkable way. Nice.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, chocolate, mocha, roasted malts and coffee.

Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with a slight/medium brown/dark brown head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, chocolate and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been intenser and the appearance could have been more opaque with a better head however. The flavour might be a tad too safe for my liking, but is good nonetheless.

Rating #1604 - 14.04.2015 - Easter Dinner beer #3. Pours jet black with a luxurious velvety tan head with excellent retention. Aroma is heavy on cocoa, dark roast coffee, toffee, burnt sugar notes. Coffee flavours throughout, accented by chocolate notes and a creamier texture. Phenomenal.

1/21/2012 10:29:42 PM Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark black body with small tan head. Nose is of coffee, molasses and licorice. Taste is also quite full with nice malts, coffee, licorice, vanilla and lots of chocolate in there. Oily and smooth texture. Bitter in the finish. Well done.

33 cl. 11,6% ABV.

Vraiment.

first beer of the day after zwanze 2015 shenanigans the night before, very hung over like a chump, it was funny how everyone in the pub was talking about it though .. . dark black with a pretty coco head ring .. . coffee, roast, charcoal, and cooking chocolate .. very easy to put down, finished my glass in 5-10 minutes, very luxurious drink .. . . Charlie was racked with guilt, He killed at least 20 pigeons, no one needs that.
