Bottles at Kent BF 2015. Didn’t realise this was a different rating and happily drank 2 bottles of it. Black beer lasting tan head. Coffee aroma, espresso coffee, smooth and velvety in the mouth, intense dark choc and coffee on the finish. So good I had it twice.

Black of color with a brown head. An aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. A flavor of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, weak bitterness, weak caramel and sweets.

Bouteille:Literally black with a ruby sheen, mid-sized stable and creamy off-white head; fresh coffee, chocolate and vanilla in the nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied and soft; moderate bitter and caramelly finish with coffee and chocolate. Very fine stuff…

26/1/12 bottle on this date - Black, oil looks. Delicious chocolate and coffee aromas are thick and fly out of the glass. There is an underlying roasty/smoky malt bitterness there too. Thick and sweet and smooth. No appearance of the alcohol at all. It’s delicious! Very mild, like an iced mocha of some description. Oh yeah, there’s a little heat in the throat after a few sips. I’d buy it again. For certain. Damn.

Robe noire, sans mousse ou presque.Mini col sans effervescence aucune.Nez sucré, torréfié, boisé : café. En bouche : douceur, corps crêmeux, café, chocolat, notes discrêtement épicées et poivrées en fin de bouche. Bien !

Tap at Arendnest, 23rd July 15. Chocolate, coffee, slight bovril on the nose, taste is bitter sweet, quite smooth, not bad, not my favourite De Molen Inpy though

0.33 bottle from Hoppiness, Koper, Slovenia. Pours dark brown to black with almost no head. Coffee dominates, dark chocolate, tobacco. Coffee bitterness with chocolate sweetness. Oily, medium body, like ice coffee. Taste is full, but body not so much. Dry finish. Good, but not surprisingly.

Pours oily black, thin tight head. Smells of coffee and chocolate with some Christmas fruit, spice and molasses. Like sniffing the bottom of a coffee grinder. Silky sweetness gives way to bitter morning coffee, that dries further back the palate. Roasted malt. Much stronger on the coffee and far more chocolate. Body is smooth with low carbonation. Carries the flavour and complexity incredibly well. One of the better coffee stouts I've had. All the better for being imperial, since the lower ABV ones don't tend to do the coffee flavours any justice. Would love to try a barrel aged version! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
