4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ unibaren, 20 / 7 2013. Dark clear brown, not a lot of head or lacing. Aroma, used coffe filter (and i mean that in the best way), roasted malts, bitter chocolate, some alcohol. Taste, bitter coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, . Bitter dry coffee aftertaste. Good mouth feel, not too much carbonation. The aroma is amazing, I don’t know how you make old coffee smell good, but they do.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 24 Aug 2014) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee, mocha and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, mocha and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, with thick, oily texture. A certain sweetness coming through. Very tasty with a generous coffee and chocolate character, and fairly well balanced for its strength. Lovely beer!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Black with small bubbly brown head. Massive coffee, roasted rye, burnt vegetables, whole espresso beans. Some marzipan and a hint of fruits on the nose, but when drinking the massive roasted and coffee notes overpower any hint of sweetness. Taste is very bitter, with a dry bitter finish. Slight watery feel. For total coffee freaks, it's a bit too one-dimensional for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really smooth coffee stout. A great example of the style. It’s nutty, creamy, and has a nice rich coffee flavor. Packs a punch, though it’s not boozy at all. Very pleasant.
