Bardzo cudownie dobre piwo. Czarne smoliste i nieprzezroczyste. Troche za slodki posmak na poczatku ale swietnie przechodzi w gozko palony i kawowy finisz, ktory jest niesamowicie dlugi. Utrzymuje sie wytrawnosc bardzo dlugo. Niesamowite razaenia. Piwo sprawia wrazenie ciezkiego i takowe jst, spora dawka alkoholu i zwlaszcza kawy Mocca stawia na nogi. Minusik maly za niewielka piane. Gozka czekolada i piernikowe rumowe posmaki takze obecne. Spora butelka ale jak ze wspaniala uczta na poczestunek do domowych wypieczonych ciasteczek. Polecam zamiast popoludniowej kawy.

33 cl bottle at Ørsted Ølbar!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled 33cl. Bottled in September 2011. It pours a pitch black beer with a very small bubbly beige head. Strong aroma of poppy seeds, gentian, strong coffee and vanilla. Full bodied. Very low carbonation. Complex. Good bitterness. Perfectly balanced. Dry finish which is reminiscent of poppy seeds, strong coffee, licorice, vanilla and dark chocolate. Absolutely fantastic and mindblowingly delicious.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma’s are all that you’d expect, roasty, coffee, very bitter chocolate, the alcohol is very well hidden.
Appearance: very black beer, exactly the way I love my beers, black :D The liquid has very tiny bubbles, the head dissipaates very fast and has a browinsh colour.
Taste: Awesome? Mildy sweet but quite bitter but very drinkable. How do they do it? Heavy bitter, light-medium sweet!
The palate was very balanced, tiny bubbles, abrupt bitter finish. The body is medium, not very thick compared to some other stouts I’ve had.
Overall: Might just become one of my favourites, it is a really enjoyable drink but it’s bitterness makes it one that you won’t want to drink to fast nor to much. A special beer for that special nights ;)

Thx! to Kraddel. 01/2012 Vintage – NON-CARBONATED Version. Blackish, dark brown, obviously no head. Smells of burned coffee grounds, very dark chocolate, strongly roasted malts, light ash, strongly burned,… Taste is that of quite bitter coffee grounds, reasonable roast, thick chocolate, mocha, light chocolate milk, some light sweetness coming through in the finish, almost wine-like alcohol, warming, thick mocha, near-hint licorice. Obviously flat. Label says for connoisseurs to regards to this version but I assume that they just had a failed batch and decided to sell it but who cares this is quite lovely.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Black with short lived tan head.
Aroma: Intense and gorgeous coffee bean notes and a little chocolate.
Taste: Initially coffee, maltyness and slight spicyness. Light sweetness. Aftertaste was bready, hint of prune tartness, with a lingering alcohol warmth and bitterness.
Palate: Thin body, smooth texture and finish, little to no carbonation.
Comments: I would definitely have this one again and would certainly recommend to a friend. Served in a snifter.

Bottle, 0.33l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Pours almost black color with barely noticable light brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt, supported with strong coffee with chocolate hints, following is slightly acidic with notes of dried fruits and liquorice, mouthfeel is warming, although alcohol is well hidden, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Yes, it’s quite one dimensional, but still hell of a good one...
