33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 02.09.2011, BBE 02.09.2016
Aroma has mocha, some vegetables, sweetish chocolate and vanilla. Flavour has mocha, some chocolate and vanilla. Also hints of vegetables typical to mocha beers. A bit better than Kopi Loewak.

A dark reddish brown imperial stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of coffee grind, musty character, light mocha coffee, nutty oil, nice and complex. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of coffee grind, light vanilla, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at Eulogy.

Completely dark body, medium sized tan head drops to minimal. Great aroma. Extreme coffee, chili, spices, caramel. Lots of coffee in taste plus some alcohol. Flat carbonation. Medium to full body, creamy. Not perfectly balanced, coffee is jumping little bit off the rest, but still great. //thanks to veceo for sharing

2016 bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. You almost get something different with each taste and it definitely develops on your tongue. Dark fruits, molasses, some ash, little black pepper, bourbon, all on a little roasted malt. Slightly dirty taste with a hint of sourness, sorta herbal and dank. On the thin side but has a little creaminess and the taste is complex enough that it makes it seem fuller. Not your typical stout, very interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

butelka, warka z 13/01/16 (BB 13/01/21) - znow majaca wiecej, bo 11.4%. B ciemny braz piwa, rachityczna piana szybko pozostajaca obraczka. Aromat intensywny, glownie kawa i palonosc, zreszta sama kawa tez o takim palonym do prawie czerni ziaren charakterze. Nieco wanilii. kapinka pralin. W ustach pierwszy lyk to reakcja "o dzizas, jakie alkoholowe" - no hej, ja to na sniadanie pije, sadysci holenderscy!.

This is an 11.2 oz bottle with 11.6% ABV, so I’m not sure what year it is from. Smells like nice dark roast coffee with a hint of red wine, oak and plum. Slightly boozy scent. Shiny black color with the faintest trace of tan foam. The taste is very roasty, with heavy oak and some chocolate in the background. Some booze and hop/coffee bitterness in the aftertaste. A little rough, but all the elements of a great coffee stout are there. The beer pours out on the thin side, but the palate holds up pretty well when you drink it. I’m a big de Molen fan so I may be biased, but I thought this was pretty good.

Oh Draught, like a ßoss
Pours basically black without much of a head.

The aroma is sweet smelling with lots of toffee and some cocoa. It’s got a lot of raisin and a ever-present very-roasty coffee element. There is some brown sugar, there is some plum, there is more coffee.

The flavor is a nice glance of bitter roasty malts & sweet toffee and dark fruit forward maltiness. It’s got plenty of espresso, it’s got plenty of dark chocolate. It’s quite rich, it’s a touch sweeter than I wish it would be, and the booziness is pretty well controlled (although certainly noticeable)

OK!

A surprisingly dirty beer. I thought this would be a straightforward imperial stout, but it was a little sour. Hazy dark brown, deep dark fruit body. Tried with Brandon and Monica in 2016.
