Black in the glass, I miss the head for sure. Good sweet coffee and mocca at the smell. Decent roastiness. The taste is less. Bitter sweetness, but mostly a dry biterness. A bit watery. Needs gas for sure.

Bottle from De Molen. Almost black color with almost no beige head. Aroma definitely coffee. Taste, mainly coffee, light hints of malt, caramel, maybe dark chocolate. Nice long dry, coffee bitter finish. Excellent, well rounded stout.

750mL bottle, bottled 10/16/09, #105 of 236. Poured clear cola brown with a dense, sticky, kinda fizzy yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up rich, earthy coffee, dark chocolate, with woody and a hint of cherry accents.. some green coffee bean sourness was also evident.. surprisingly soft, and quite decadent. The flavor opened with tart coffee and oaky notes, with more rich, roasted coffee behind.. again earthy and woody.. moderate overall roast.. finished with dry-roasted coffee and oak.. very well balanced. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. sweetness, dry roast, and moderate warmth worked very well together.. loved it!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle, ABV 11.6%, EBU 86. Bottled on 02/09/2011. Poured black color with almost no head. Aah, you can feel the coffee when pouring into the glass. Strong, freshly ground coffee. Also some dark fruity notes recognizable. Flavor is strong coffee, dark chocolate and ash, lots of ash. Low sweetness, very dry finish, with coffee in the finish that stays for very long. Could not detect much alcohol either. Scaringly easy to drink. Superb coffee stout!

loads of sweetened coffee in the aroma along with chocolate, vanilla, spicy peppers, alcohol stinging and roast.
the flavor is the same with a roasty finish and ashy coffee aftertaste.
it is full-ish bodied and slick but only from lack of carbonation. 8/3/7/3/14

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at De Molen. Black pour with tan head. Aroma is strong, slightly stale coffee. Flavor has the same extreme coffee with a strange dry sourness. Not a bad beer but certainly not one of De Molen’s stouts
