Tap @ borefts beer festival 2012. Dark oily potent beer. Smells like bourbon and tobacco. Very intense! Smoke and coffee. Lots of barrel. Nicely aged. Great stuff! (drunk rating)

33cl de DeMolen online biershop. Bottled 05-09-2012. Brune foncée, col moyen, café au lait laissant un léger doré au verre. Arôme est agréablement torréfié sur un agréable moka, le bourbon est ici présent, note de caramel, grillé. Palais est épais, réchauffant, une note barrique certes de bourbon, mais qui laisse une touche presque de réglisse qui enlève un peu de la magique de la version sans bourbon. Le houblon reste discret et ajoute une fine note d’amertume en toute fin de bouche. Boisé est subtile avec un côté bourbon-vanillé moyen, la café est aussi bien en place sans pour cela amener la bière à une dimension extraordinaire. Ce qui m’ennuie un peu ici est le côté réglisse qui empiète un peu sur le café. Au final, bière décevante, je préfère de loin la version non barriquée.

Bottle from De Molen online shop. Nice dark brown body with slight head. Nose is malty, vanilla, coffee, licorice, chocolate. Taste is bourbon up front, with some nice chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Just a really nice beer all around. OIly and silky texture.

Bottle. Black with a porous beige head. Aroma: used coffee grounds, green fruity chili. Taste: used coffee grounds, sour red berries, dill, licorice, purple and yellow wine gums, a bit puckering. After a long while, I get toffee and light bourbon. Medium to full-bodied. Not very enjoyable in the beginning, but improves somewhat.

@BBF12. Pours dark brown with a beuge head. Aroma is roasted malt, cold coffee, green pepper, bourbon, oak, vanilla and perfume. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon, alcohol and coffee.

Black. Brown head. Aroma is mostly coffee. Taste is rather sweet but with bitter coffee and a bourbon hint. Body is ok but I expected it thicker. Carbo is rather low. Quite nice, but too much coffee.

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2012, with coffee, from De Molen Beershop Bodegraven, complex Stout, roasted/woody and slightly alcoholic/spicy, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, nearly no head, very good brew, yet expensive!

Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, coffee, roasted, chocolate, dark roasted, dry licorice, light licorice - alcohol - bourbon. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty, dry licorice, licorice - lakrids konfekt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. Very strong flavor, coffee, sweet and malty. A touch of bourbon and vanila coming through.

Alkoholisch trockener und etwaskräuterartiger Beginn. Zu trocken, zitronig, aggressiv sauer-trocken im Abgang. Gleichzeitig schokoladig und wenig herb. Merkwürdig! 12/11/11/11//11
