COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sometimes things go wrong at a brewery. While brewing our Donder & Bliksem a mistake was made and we added a lot of malts that weren’t suppose to go in this brew. This is how our Bohemian Lager turned into a Schwarzbier. As you see, we turn our Difficulties into a Virtue.

Black color. Mild aroma of roasted malt and cardboard. The flavor of roasted malt and dry chocolate is actually better than expected, with a caramelly backbone and good bitterness level; light residual sweetness in the final, with also some roasted nuts.
Pleasing.

Bottle. Brown- Black. No head. Caramel raisin aromas dominate. Dry to slight bitter. Rather short finish. Not bad prefer more carbonation even though the style is stout-like.

In bottle at home. Pours a very dark brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasty malt, coffee, caramel and alcohol. Similar roasty flavours with mild carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Nicely bitter with lingering burnt toast and chocolate characters. Alcohol is well balanced.

33cl bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a red hue and a nice creamy fawn coloured head. The nose has creamy chocolate. The taste has chocolate and nuts. The palate has a medium body and a nice creamy texture with quite a dry and elegant finish. Overall, a very creamy schwarzbier, it’s good.
