330 ml bottle. Bottled 17/11/2011. From bierkompass.de.
Dark brown almost black colour with a tiny tan head.
The aroma is dry malty, liquoricy and salty. The flavour is quite a like. Grainy malt, mild hops and spices in the flavour. Quite nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle at home - bottled 17/11/2011. Pours deep brown with a reddish hue. Aromas of nuts, raw earth, toffee, caramel, roast. Medium body with lingering sweetness and bready kind of wee-ish effect? Dry finish. Taste is malts and chocolate chip cookies . Strange beer, yet quite drinkable and enjoyable. Average aromas and flavour though.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich malt and liqourice, leading to a strong bitter flavour with coffee and roasted malt. For a "mistake" it’s not so bad at all!

29/III/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 12/II/15 (2013-280)
Clear dark purple to black brown beer, irregular huge creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: hoppy, citrus, grassy, hints of mocha and caramel on warming up. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: some citrus, bit sourish, sweet touch with notes of caramel, pretty bitter and hoppy, spicy, almost peppery even. Aftertaste: lots of citric hops, bit fruity, resinous, very bitter dry ending, overall sourish, hints of mocha and cocoa powder on warming up.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dec 2012 - Cold bottle. Some porter qualities, and some lager. Big chunks of sediment. A bit mild and watery at the start, leading to some slightly smokey and bitter flavours. Easy drinking. Less interesting than the other De Molens though.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Basically black, with sediment. Basically no head. Aroma is limited, there’s a bit of chocolate and toast. Much more flavor one you take a sip, with chocolate, toast, nuts. Some almost red wine like character. What sweetness there is is balanced by hop and roast bitterness and a little acidic tang. Fresh, herbal, noble hop finish. Unusual beer - imperial black pilsner? Refreshing though.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330mL bottle, pours an amber-tinged dark brown with shitloads of sediment floating about - doesn’t look that attractive because of it. Aroma of somewhat stale toasted nuts, German lager yeast and bready malts. Flavour is very similar, with the German lager yeast upfront, stale toasted nuts, cardboard and bready malt. Medium-bodied with the flavour being slightly more pleasant than the nose. Still, nothing special here - could use more roast, and without the stale, cardboard-y elements.
