Bottled. 30cl sample. The aroma has toffee, caramel, raisin, orange. Hazy, orange-brown coloured beer with an off-white, medium, lasting head. The taste is moderate bitter, has toffee sweetness, oranges, dried fruits. Pretty nice, considering the fact that I should have drink this one 1,5 year ago. :-) Now itís Barley wine-ish.

Very sweet aroma and flavor. Plum, fermented fruit. More like a barley wine. Maybe because of the bottling 09.13

3.8.2014. Simcoe, cascade, citra. Dark amber colour with brownish head. Caramel, malted barley, raisin and piny hops on the nose. Taste is pretty caramel, sweetish, wood, zest. Full bodied, massive IPA with some barley wine elements.

Bottle, Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Hazy dark orange pour with a small off white head. Sweet, fruity beak with some caramel malt and piney hop present. Quite thick mouthfeel, gentle carbonation. Similarly sweet flavour with notes of peach, orange, booze, malts. Dry, fruity finish. Hops not really shining enough for me here, but not without its charm.

KyotoLefty (7175) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 26, 2015
Bottle from Taniguchi. Big, fruity, floral nose, oranges, peaches and cream, a touch of strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Complex nose indeed. Deep orange-brown with a low, fine, thick head. Sweet and fruity, citrus and stone. Very sweet, actually, too much, with a bitter finish. Somewhat soda-like. Interesting flavors but the syrupy sweetness puts me off.

33cl bottle. Hazy light amber colour with a nice off-white head. Grapefruit, pine, citrus, caramel and spices in the aroma. Soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is complex with some layers of flavours but quite balanced and more on the bitter side. Overall, a very good beer.
