Flaska från De Bierkonig Amsterdam. Jag drack den nog lite varm men den var ändå god. Gillar................ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown color. Light to moderate smoke character, which is always good, but when it comes to smoke, I like a lot. Dry, earthy malt profile, which I attribute to the peat. Good.

Bottle shared at the Hoff’s tasting. Pours dark amber/brown a little murky. Aroma has faint peat and lingering smoke with burnt malt. Taste was more malt subtle bitterness and calm. Palate thin to medium. Easy drinking.

750 ml bottle: black with hints of brown and a light tan headslightly smokey, dry, sour, coffee aromas. Dry, sour coffee flavors with hints of smoke/peat, soy sauce with some red winelike flavors. Thin and kind of watery. This it what I think imperial Guinness would taste like.

Dark, dark amber pour. Soft and easy to drink. Malty and sweet with some interesting stuff in the finish. Slight bitterness. Slightly smoked. Nice.

Rated on 5-30-2009 at Fort Wayne, IN Tasting (Bottle) This beer forms a small, very fizzy tan head that mostly diminished, brown body, no visible carbonation, and next to no lacing. The Aroma is chocolate, malt and smokey. The Taste mimics the Aroma. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, I could not obtain a real good liking for the flavor of this beer. It is not bad tasting...I just did not get a WOW factor from it.

750ml - pours dark brown with tan head. Nose is smoke, roasted malts and soy sauce. Sip adds oysters shell, peat and more roast, but less smoke than nose. Very dry with an almost tart finish. Balanced taste-wise. Interesting but a tad light.

750ml bottle 10/31/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-46° in Mug-Pours black with a big tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, and coffee. Taste of smoke, malt, and slight coffee. This medium bodied brew is not bad but I was expecting more smoke if this is indeed the category is supposed to be.
