Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al De Molen beer festival. Color tonaca di frate, densa, torbida, con schiuma biancastra poco persistente. Aroma intensissimo, fortemente erbaceo, speziato, con note di medicinale e lievito. In bocca è speziatissima, amarognola e leggermente acida, piena zeppa di lievito e per nulla facile da bere. Corpo medio, consistenza oleosa, carbonazione soft. In non perfette condizioni, piena zeppa di lieviti, difficile da finire anche in un bicchierino da 20cl.

Very dark brown, like black at the glass. A good sized head, holds ok, lace holds good. Nicely moderated, good mix of spices, coffee, chocolate, and also hops gets trough.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown almsot black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty spicy chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty chocolate finish.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, almost black, big quite stable yellowish head with a good lace; moderate to solid nose: nuts, cardamom and cacao or chocolate; very smooth and full bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; bitter-sweet roasty - stout-like - finish. A goody.....

(bottle, 75cl) Black coloured hue with a big and beige foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with cacao, espresso, notes of Amaretto and a present spicy touch. Roasty bitter and sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malt-character with loads of chocolate, hints of coffee, cardamon and other spices; bitter-sweet roasty and coffee-ish finish with spicy notes, an alcoholic bite and chocolate in the aftertaste. 20.X.11

Although it’s categorised as a spice/herb/vegetable here to me it tasted more like a stout. Smelled and tasted coffee and caramel mostly.

Bottle at ’t Arendsnest. Black with a creamy, beige head. Roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. caramel, roasted coffee, fruity notes. Nice.

Bottled. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolat, hint of coffee. Slight spicy taste, bit dryish. I didnt get the ’dragon’-spice, but Im not really familiar with it anyway. Ok RIS, with a spicy hint. Good for x-mas.

Chocolate milkshake coloured head very dark pour mild carbonation aromas rich coffee rich chocolate fruit cocoa flavours dry delicious coffee cocoa a fizzy dryness the dragon herb having it say sharp chilli notes a bitter of medium or slightly above a dark fruity note sharp crisp tasting a creaminess spicy herbal richness malt superb aftertastes mats dry sweet some dark fruit chilli sharpness lasting bitter big dryness great to drink
