Cellar cleanup tasting at deanso’s. 2010 Vintage bottle from kermis’ lair, thanks! Black with light tan head. Sweet malts, roasted malts, toffee, caramel, something burnt in the oven, vegetal and herbal notes, licorice, chocolate, aroma of balsamico. Big sweet, mild bitter, soft sour note somewhere in there. Full body, soft but sturdy carbonation. Complex aroma, smooth slick feel. Nice!

2011 vintage on draft at Klooster, Delf. Pours near black with a thick beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, caramel and coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light heavy bitter. Red and dark fruits coming out in the palate and adding some acidity balancing against the sweetness. Thick mouthfeel. Full bodied with light carbonation.

Quite an interesting beer. The aroma and taste has a balanced sourness. Furthermore it has the character of a stout with roasted and coffee notes. Quite a nice fine bubbled dark beer. Quite interesting, but not my favorite

(750ml brewed 10-8-2010 botles 11-25-2010) dark brown, fine tan lasting bubbles. Nose is odd, juniper, tar, ashy, berries, sawdust, tobacco. Taste of tar, ash, juniper, light berry, dark chocolate. Very unique beer, not technically executed well.

Almost dark color, with a fully diminishing off-white head. Aroma delivers roasted malty notes, red fruits, some chocolate and coffee, and many spices. Taste is sweet, and lightly bitter at the beginning, also with a light alcoholic feeling. The body is complex and full, interesting for a "meditation" night with friends.

Opaque dark brown beer, light tan head. Light palate, semi soft and semi dry. Nice dark malts - a little creamy. Very light touches of roast and smoke. Subtle fruits underneath. Semi dry finish. Easy going Porter.

75 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 15.01.2011
Aroma has licorice, some spices and hints of spices. Flavour has spices, some licorice, hints of coffee and chocolate. A bit messy and too spicy, but decent anyway.
