on tap at the de molen stand at braukunst llive 2014. a rich shade of golden with a thin yet fluffy head; aroma was so full of orange marmelade that i kept thinking about my grandma molly; soft, drinkable body; spot-on balance between sweet and tangy - bread and butter pudding covered with very zesty orange marmelade. much fresher and more invigorating than most strong belgain ales i’ve had lately

Draught@Braukunst Live, München 02/2014, Na zdravi to the CZ expats, pouring at an antsy pace! Harsh alcholic, chloric nose reminding me of a few US chemical saisons. Lean body, an improvement over many an original deadweight BE strong ale and tripel (Piraat). A bit thin on taste, apart from orange and apricot marmelade malts and an undefined metallic hop presence. Not my favourite genre, improved here only in part.

Pours clear gold without head. Very sweet aroma of turkish delight and licorice. Taste is equally sweet, noticeably alcoholic, some apples and grapes. Very flat, no carbonation. Overly alcoholic and sweet, more of a malt liquor. A rare and disappointing miss from an otherwise faultless brewery.

Great taste, despite being a very strong beer it feels more like a light beer. Great beer for a warm sunny day. Slight citrus aftertaste

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol and some dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, boozy and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A more or less clear one, dark golden in color and with a minimal-sized off-white head. The aroma is fruity with a touch of alcohol and white sugar. Rather boring. That can be said of the flavor too, where there’s also some bitterness. Full-bodied and warming on the palate. Sweetish, fruity and warming finish. Not a very pleasant one, I don’t have need to repeat this one. 131231
