2012 bottle from backlog. Almost black, porous beige head. Aroma: peaty and light smoky, toffee, salt. Taste: peaty, roasted, light smoky, creamy chocolate, fudge, toffee, used coffee grounds. Full-bodied. Nice, but not a great barrel aging as it overpowers the beer a bit.

Bottle @ Rooie Dop brew dungeon, thanks for sharing Mark. Black coloured with a tan medium sized head. Noise is iodine, band aid, roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, iodine, chocolate, slight sourness, peaty. Lots of peat in the finish.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 28.08.2012, BBE 28.08.2037
Aroma is rather neat with peaty notes, licorice and smoke. Flavourn is salty with peat, smoke, islay whisky and some licorice. Confusing stuff; somewhat nice but then again a bit too salty and peaty.

lusikka (6022) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 26, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a brown colour with a small head. Aroma of peat, leather and burnt rubber. Flavour of roasted malts, loads and loads of residual sugar, burnt rubber and some wooden notes. Medium bodied and thin mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Horrible balance. Yeah, peat is there but everything else is missing.

tiong (3668) - Espoo, FINLAND - APR 26, 2014
330ml bottle from De Molen Beershop

Pours pitch black with a tiny bubbly head. Aroma of peaty malts, roastiness, licorice, wood, oak and vanilla. Taste is sweet, peaty and woody with hints of licorice, roastiness, oak and smoke. Finish is sweet, peaty and woody with hints of sweet syrup. Quite unbalanced imperial stout, the peaty notes don’t really fit in here.

Black pour, no head. Oh good god this is nasty. Bandaids, hospital cleaner, new garden hose. This is pretty damn nasty.

Bottle... Mostly clear dark ale with almost no head. The aroma is heavily smoky and peaty Scotch whiskey with some caramel and vanilla thrown in for good measure. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation. Unfortunately, the flavor is not pleasant as all that smokiness and peatiness in the nose transforms into cardboard and smoky charcoal. Heavily carbonic, but cloyingly sweet at the same time. Unpleasant cardboard finish. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!
