Draft at Borefts BF 2012. A dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of Laphroaig and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of Laphroaig and roasted malt, leading to a drybroasted finish.

Black, no head. Aroma and taste are a lot of peat, some ash, whiskey, chocolate, tobacco and something funny...

Rasputin is "top of the notch" when it comes to great beer. no doubt about it. This beer felt "overbarrelled". Not much Rasputin left, mostly barrel taste innit. Which gave me an unbalanced impression of this beer.

Thanks to Colin for sharing this one. Huge smoke and peat aromas. Sweet with monstrous peat and smoke notes. A little on the watery side.

Bottle from a generous trader. Pours very dark brown with tan head ring. Nose and taste of heavy peat, ashtray, smoke, roast chocolate, charred peated oak and vanilla. Peated alcohol burn finish with slight lactose sourness. Medium body.
