Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, wood - oak, smoke - peat. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20101219]

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black with a tan head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, spice, fruit and chocolate.

Draft at DeMolen. Dark brown pour with tan head. Aroma of malt, coffee. Flavor of oak, caramel, chocolate and slight alcohol burn.

Sampled at CBF 2011. Colour is black, has a light brown head, medium duration. Aroma is dark, malty, notes of port. Flavor is sweet, has notes of wood, vanilla, soy sauce. Creamy texture. Moderate bitter finish.

Bottle @ Odense tasting. Dark brown body with a medium light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, ripe fruit and alcohol. Flavor is ripe fruit, wood, roasted malt. Quite dissapointing.

Draught @ Ølfestival København 2011.
Pours a slightly opaque, dark brown head with a small beige head. Aroma of oak and mild roasted malts. Flavour of roasted malts, vanilla, floral hops, oak and some mild spicy notes. Full bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a mouth-drying oak finish. Alcohol comes through in the end quite nicely.

Bottle. Pours a clear and dark burgundy beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, roasted, cardboard and notes of alcohol. The flavor is malt and roasted. The palate is alcohol. Overall a good beer.
