COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Straightforward Imperial Stout, at least to our standards, aged on wooden barrels for several months. This gives the Imperial Stout wonderful mellow feeling with extra flavours like vanilla.

Copenhagen Beerfestival 2011. Pours black with a small light brown head. Very sweet with some bitterness. Lots of aromas of toasted malts. Hints of peated malts. Meloow piny hops aromas. Light alcohol notes and hints of pepper toawards the end. Also aromas of cask wood. Full bodied. Soft, almost no carbonation. Dry finish.

Black coloured. Light brown head. Caramel, roast, smoke, liqourice coffee and light herbs in the aroma. Flavour of smoke, caramel, brown sugar, roast, cocoa, light coffee, liqorice. Medium to full bodied. Roasty bitter end with a light alcohol bite.

yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 30, 2011
On tap at Ølfestival 2011. An unclear, dark brown body is topped by a tan head of reasonable size. Some oak hints on the nose is soon overpowered by mocha, alcohol, and a little chocolate and roasted malts. The flavor has mocha and roasted malts, chocolate, alcohol, sweetness and a nice bitterness. Full-bodied and warming, but not boozy. Nice bitterness in the end. A fine beer indeed, but I prefer the regular Rasputin. 110527

Again with the cooked vegetable, but this time it’s more hidden thanks to the oak. But not a good brew, would not recommend it.

Black color, average beige head. Smell roasted malts, chocolate, smoke and wood. Sweet and bitter taste, also pretty alcoholic to me. Oily texture, full body.

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pitch-black, small, creamy head that settles as a fine film. Aroma has cognac, roasted malts, light chocolate, hazelnuts, oak, plums and light vanilla. Low carbonation, fat and oily yet somehow kinda light mouthfeel in the finish. Flavour is mellow, roasted, sweet chocolate, light liqourice, definite oak, some boozy notes that detract in my book. Lingering malty bitter finish. Elegant and good despite the mild booziness.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Near black, small head. Aroma of licorice, strawberry and chocolate. Sweet and soft, a typical de Molen Imperial stout. Full bodied, more sweetness than oak or licorice.
