Bottled 18 Dec 2014. Deep and dark with small beige head. Delicate aromas of licorice, dark chocolate, a little coffee. The taste is interesting - molasses, caramel, buttered popcorn (diacetyl), light coffee, dark chocolate, very lightly smoky. ABV really unnoticeable. Medium bodied, low carbonation, quite smooth.

A February 2013 bottle. This guys can live til 25 and become tastier, but... I’m drinking it now! Black with no head and no carbonation, not even the "tssss" sound when I opened the bottle. Aroma is malty-chocolaty. Taste that wander from sweet molasses and Belgian chocolate, to wood, bourbon and some coffee. Medium-low bitterness, alcohol not really noticeable. A fantastic brew from De Molen (as usual).

12 ounces 1-year old bottle (August 26, 2014) from Parker Pie. Aroma: chocolate, caramel, molasses, bourbon, oxidated, and a tiny bit vegetables but not enough to be unpleasant. App: dark brown, minimal brown head, little retention only leaving a tiny head around the glass probably due to being aged for a year. Taste and palate: full body, liquoreux, medium sweetness, light roasted chocolate bitter finish. Overall: Wish I could have tasted it more fresh but it was still really good. Quite strong.

A young (one year old), very fruity ImpStout without coffee roast flavours. Aromas (nose and taste) of candied pineapple coated with bitter chocolate, fruity bitter chocolate, very dark caramels, wild strawberries and some herbs, dried pears, plum pudding. Wonderfully silky-smooth, near oily texture, not the least cloying, Almost no alcohol heat, impressively well done for this abv and this young age. Very smooth finish, almost no aftertaste, might change with the years.

Bottle and draft. Almost velvety black with very good brown-cream head. Aroma: coffee, chocolate, caramel, hops, flowers, prunes, peat and whisky. Taste: very delicate, velvety, chocolate and coffee, sweet coffee cake with almonds, ice-cream, caramel, plum jam, port wine, liqueur or brandy.

On tap at Anchorage Brewing De Molen Tap Take-over: Poured somewhat black with some brown hues, head was tan. Aroma was dark fruit, licorice, boozy, and rich. Taste was a semi sweet forward fruit, roasted malt, chocolate shards, and coffee bean edge. Very complex.

Draft, super black body, nice almond colored head, some lace. Aroma is over ripe fruit, dried plums. Taste is super juicy bananas and papaya and fruit! A little roast finish. This is a strange beer, so dark yet fruity! A little sweet, palate is very rich, carbonation subdued. Very nice!

Wersja jeszcze jako Rasputin, dane z etykiety 23 plato, 202 EBC, 46 EBU, alk. 10,4 %. Butelkowane 27.02.2013. Piana drobna, brązowa, niezbyt obfita. Kolor ciemnobrązowy, wpadający w czerń. W aromacie intensywne śliwki, trochę kwaskowate. Nuty likieru. Wyczuwalny alkohol, mocna likierowa nuta. Trochę gorzkiej czekolady. W smaku mocno kwaskowate. Mocno wychodzi alkohol. Konkretnie grzeje w podniebienie. Przypomina śliwki w czekoladzie, gorzkiej z dodatkiem alkoholu. Gęsty w odczuciu, lekko oleisty. Nie jest to najlepszy RIS jakiego piłem ale jest bardzo dobry. Trochę za mocno wychodzi alkohol mimo, że piwo już trochę leżało.
