Bottle shared by Jean-Michael, thanks! Pours a dark brown with a low head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of rich malt, roasted but primarily sweet and loaded with caramel impressions. Taste is a little saline (JM pointed that first but I can only agree), strange but enjoyable to me. Other tastes and flavors include caramel, chocolate and roasted coffee. Alcohol is really well hidden and it isn’t too sweet, eminently drinkable. Mouthfeel was silky smooth. Really fun and nice! Not sure what explains the mineral/salty component but it brought something nice and different to the table.

Loads of dusty dark, sweet chocolate on the aroma, the taste is not as sweet as you would expect, given aroma and abv. The finish has a good bitter/ stout kick. Very clever beer.

bottle shared by jean-michaël, thanks dude. pours unclear dark brown with a small light beige showing some retention and lacing. burnt caramel, some red fruitiness, slightly garbagy and nail polishy, earthy and piney, other minerals and coffee. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily, moderate sweetness, warming alcohol, slightly harsh assertive spicy-piney-earthy finish. ok.

Bottle aged 2 years in the cellar. Too bright, dubbel-like (brown) color, beige head, that vanishes very quickly. Aroma of milk chocolate, some vinous notes, dried fruits, licorice. alcohol is noticeable, so the beer smells like liqueur pralines. Taste:, chocolate, coffee, licorice, raisin. full body, smooth, thick texture, sweet, lack of bitterness. Overall: nice, tasty beer.

Pours black with a thick brown head. Aroma is, roasty and... dusty?? But in a good way... Some roasted barley, some licorice... Taste meet up with bitterness upfront, very short, turns over to some roasted coffee with chocolate and black malt, some complex notes, for me these would with some aging evolve into dark fruits, but with 1 year old bottle, it ain’t quite there yet. No alcohol whatsoever, really drinkable and a solid IRS. Low carbonation, which for me is preferable for a imperial stout.

Bottle 33cl. Thick dark brown pour with a huge beige head. Sweet bakers chocolate dominates - this is actually more sweet than roasty

Appearance: Dark brown/black with thin quick to disappear tan head. Aroma: Sour cherry, prune, dried fig, vinous, stewed fruits, liquorice. Taste: Medium sweetness, low bitterness and low/medium sourness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, medium body, average carbonation, abrupt, astringent sweet, fruity, vinous finish with an alcohol warmth and a roast malt, cold coffee note. Comments: Tasty. Rating is for bottled version 10.4% ABV.
