Bottle at De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 29.02.12 cannot believe that I hadn’t rated this before as I have definately had this on a few occasions. Pours dark, dark brown with a tan head. Great stout, quite pushy and in yer’ face, easy drinking, soft in the mouth, creamy and with some vanilla with chocolate and a little roasty. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Draught @ Monk’s Porter House. Dark brown to black coloured with a medium brown head. Strong fruity and alcoholic hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is strong roasted spicy and fruity hinted with a bitter roasted longer ending. Strong brew with lots of flavour. I like it.

veramente una buona imperial con classici sentori di liquerizia, ciccolato e una dolce tostatura di caffe. Equlibrata tanto che non sembra cosě forte....molto persistente.

Draught at St. Urho’s Pub, Helsinki. Almost black color. Aromas of charcoal, raisins and prunes. Sweet warming and roasty flavor with raisins, charcoal and salty licorice. Dryes to bitter charcoal finish. Full body, soft smooth carbonation. Nice abbey feel, a good sipper.

Tap. Pours very dark amber with a small head. Aroma Belgian yeast, burnt malta. Dark sugary feel. Slight alcohol raate. Strong palate. Not Bad.

Pours slightly hazy deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate and grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long sweet, chocolate, caramel, bitter finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours dark ruby red, almost black color with medium off-white head. Aroma of dark ripe fruits, distant hops, ash dry chocolate, mild smoke, roasted malts, mocha-like coffee and distant vegetable notes. Flavor of ash dry chocolate, mild liquorice notes, roasted malts, dark ripe fruits and some cocoa. Very smooth and creamy palate with a long sweetish creamy finish. Surprisingly a bit too mellow.

Fruity, some berries aroma. Black color. Medium brown head. Light sweet, fruity, very light roasted malt and alcohol taste. Medium, soft body. Long dry, astringent finish.

Zubatý Pes, Prága. Régóta vadászom már, végre sikerült ráakadni. Átláthatatlan fekete színe van, olajosan hömpölyög és óriási krémes-tömör bézs habot fejleszt, ami gyakorlatilag el sem múlik. Illatában, ahogy azt vártam, leginkább a nagyon jó minőségű pörkölt kávé érezhető, némi szintén jól megpörkölt maláta és gyümölcsös komlóaroma társaságában. Íze is hasonló élményeket tartogat, szintén a kávés-malátás pörkölt ízek vannak előtérben, de a finom gyümölcsös komló, illetve aszalt gyümölcsös és fekete csokoládés megnyilvánulások is színt visznek bele. Nagyon száraz és keserű, olajos teste van, tovább éppen megfelelően szénsavas. Lassú kortyokban fogyasztandó és érdemes kicsit várni, hogy melegedjen.

Draft at Aces & Ales as "Disputin." The first sensation isn’t quite appealing, with an almost ashtray-like aroma. But that fades and this drinks with a big licorice bite up front. But this ends up being super easy to drink for an Imperial Stout, scarily smooth. (#4476, 2/13/2012)
