A bit to short lasting taste to get real top grades. hirigalzkar (550), Stockholm, Sweden May 20, 2009 Bottle. Black. Big creamy golden-beige head. Cocoa smell. Tastes milk chocolate, smoke and some licorice, hops. A little thin. Short taste. Overrated. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA May 20, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a near black with a tan thick foamy head. Roasted chocolate nose with some serious bready yeastiness. Almost german influence. The flavor is huge roasted malt and chocolate up front with some really tasty bready german yeastiness. I quite like the pairing of the yeast I normally associate with dark german beers in a complex imperial stout like this. Silky smooth mouthfeel and alcohol is well hidden. Another very good Impy from De Molen. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark May 15, 2009 Deep brown with a tan head.
