Bottle @ Home. # 708, 33cl. Opens with a loud POOFFF and geyser out of the bottle. Luckily i was ready and got most poured into my glass. Even after i poured more than half the bottle, there was still foam coming out of the bottle. Finally it poured hazy dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, dark dried fruit. Taste is malty, coffee, caramel, licorice, plums, booze. Medium to full body, low soft carbonation. Overall points lowered due to presence when opening bottle, Overall abit of a disappoitment after my expertations. 130811

This was a bad bottle. Poured a dark cola, no head. Nose of roast, toffee, dark fruits, but taste of sour cherry, stewed soy sauce, and vegetal.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Dark brown colour with red hints. Small thin golden head. Aroma is chocolate, bit hoppy, oaty, touch of smoke and spice, nice orangey citrus keeping it feeling quite light. Taste is good too. Initial chocolate, rich, then goes into the orange bitterness and finishes with a long fade of booziness. The orange and the booze together make me think of Cointreau, but this is probably just a lazy comparison. Maybe more like a dark Chocolate Orange. Really nice. Thick as hell, but at the same time can’t really feel the booze. Probably will in about 5 minutes.

Nice roasty aroma. Pours a thick black. Taste was a little sweet on the end. Full bodied and creamy mouthfeel. Good but not great.

Robe brun foncé aux reflets orangés. Pas de mousse, pas d’effervescence. Nez torréfié. Bouche très grasse, presque huileuse, beaucoup d’amertume. Notes cacaotées en finale.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of sugary roasted malts with a bit of molasses and dark fruit jam. Flavors of dark sugar, burnt malts, light licorice, and brownies. Likely a good beer to cellar. carbonated and somewhat hot.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. An inky black beer that pours with a large creamy tan head. The beer has caramel, red fruit, currants, vanilla and whisky notes with a sweet and slight oaky finish. Lots of layers in this one!

Bottle, bottled september 2012. Pours dark with little head. Infected bottle, since it tastes like a Belgian sour. Liquid tastes flat. Too bad.
