spicey, live and vibrant with poison ivy and fresh hop enlivened into an otherwise old brew. cheesy molded barley with none of the offense, so busy with flavors wafting in and out... you pick yours as they evade your palate. Highly demonstrative warm and interesting in it’s self. What better can i say then a BEER DRINKERS diversion. Sweet tight finish.

Medium brown hazy look with a small brown head. Aroma of piney hops with some smooth chocolate and honney notes. Flavor is very smooth aswell with sweet honney like sweetness along with some quite salty liquirice and a hop bitter finish. Very nice though quite different from what i expected

750ml shared with friends at Skarven in Tromsø. 10.5% ABV, batch 697, bottle no. 507. Leather dark body, fawn-coloured head with a solid stand. Inviting aroma of coffee, dark berries and dark fruits. Delicious flavour with well blended elements of dark malts, dark fruits and dark berries. Bitter malts and anise to a smooth long-lived finish. Great (celebration time; for the first time we can drink De Molen beers at a cafe in Tromsø, 04.06.2011).

Appearance: Slightly transparent dark brown color with a radiant ruby tint and a tiny brown head.
Aroma: Oily, fatty, nutty dark chocolates with prunes, and crystallized fruits soaked in ruby port.
Flavor: Smooth and balanced composition of dried plums heated on some dark peat and dipped with a resinous black-tar. Very sweet belgian-type of candi sweetness coming from the background.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Soft, silky body with a smooth carbontaion. No traces of ethanol.
Overall: Sweet dessert-stout with a very faint belgian touch.

A black beer with a big and long-lasting, beige head. Aroma is temptating, liquirice, roastiness, chocolate and balanced sweetness. Taste is quite similar than aroma and very tastefull, liquirice, roastiness, coffee, medium sweetness, long and balanced roasted aftertaste. Full bodied, smooth and slippery to drink. Very balanced and quite sweet IS, easy enjoyability meets strong flavours, great beer.

Tap at Olympen. Black with a big, light brown soapy looking head. Aroma is surprisingly floral, lavender, soap, red berries, juicy raisins and prunes, chocolate and vanilla. Very little of the usual chocolate, coffee and roasted notes in other imperial stouts. Very sweet at first, but a sizable burnt bitterness finishes it off, saving it from becoming too sweet. A liqour like alcohol warmth made it a bit like eating liqour filled chocolates. Oily, thick, sticky and creamy. Gorgeous texture. Different. I really liked this.
