10oz on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Very dark brown red color. Thin ring of off-white head. Dots and ropes of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Dark fruit, roast, ash. Some licorice. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, moderate sweet taste. Hides alcohol well. Solid imperial stout. Kinda dark fruity. 25 year shelf life seems overly-optimistic.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours almost black with thin creamy light brown head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and dried fruits. Taste starts with short sour fruity start quickly dominated by moderate sweet and heavily roasted malt, chocolate and coffee following, warming mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Full body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Excellent rich and smooth beer with well hidden alcohol...

Good tasting Imperial Stout. Nice aroma, bittering taste but not too bold. Slow-drinking and enjoying beer. De Molen style.

Bottle shared at Christ’s post GBBF minidig 16/08/2014. Dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a samll tan head. Aroma is earthy dark roasted grains, farmyard and some nutty malts. Flavour is composed of raisin, dried fruits and berries, nutty choc malts. Palate is semi-sweet, moderate carbonation. Some soy sauce lingering. Not so keen on this, maybe a bad bottle.

Pours a muddy brown with no head. Aromas of light roast, chestnuts and a hint of coffee. Taste is semi sweet. No alcohol detected. Almost completely flat. The combo of all that makes it highly chugable, almost like drinking water. Finishes with cocoa and roast. Top notch.
