Bottle. Tight, foamy head on orange-amber beer. Nose of caramel, toffee, oak, cherry, adic, minerals. Weird, interesting, wood and barrel flavors coming though. More old world barrel, though, with not a huge bourbon character. Good.

33 cl bottle @ home (live rating). Copper/amber color, clear. Head is off white, quickly receding. Aroma’s: caramel, sour fruit, some vanilla/oak. Retronasal the sour fruit is more upfront. After some time the vanilla & bourbon becomes more apparent. Flavor is medium sour with some malty sweetness and wood notes. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Medium bodied. In the finish there’s bourbon in the nose with a light bitterness on the tongue. Not too great.

Bottle. Clear amber beer with a big lacy offwhite head, not lasting. Malty, fruity, sweetish aroma with alcohol notes. Fruity, alcohlo, spicy, oaky flavour with honey notes.

# 3343 ersma: nur zehn jahre haltbar? geht gar nicht. uaf dem etikett steht "brewed exclusively for tørst", was auch immer das heißen mag. jedenfalls kommt meins nicht von dort. rötlich-kupferfarben und trübe. mittelschaumig. der geruch ist eher dezent, süßlich-fruchtig mit leichter rauchigkeit. der antrunk ist süßlich mit fruchtigen aromen von reifer birne und etwas banane. dahinter leichte rauchnoten, röstmalz und karamell. die mitte behält den süßen grundton und die fruchtigen aromen, dazu herbe noten. der abgang ist herb und fruchtig, beeren, kräuter, etwas rauch und marginal tannine. die flasche ist wie immer gelungen in der schlichtheit mit maximaler information. fazit: nicht unbedingt ein klassischer barley wine, aber sehr aromatisch (nicht in der nase, aber auf der zunge). rund und ausgewogen. probierenswert. 10,10,11,11,12,11 - 10,80 - 2/6

Very thick and sirupy. A bit too sweet, apple, candy sugar, cinnamon, wood and white wine aftertaste.

Orange coloured beer, a bit to small head. Wood and liquor at the smell. Soft sweet taste. Not my style.

A clear amber colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of fruits with wood notes,a little caramel and sour notes. The taste is sweet with sour, wood, alcohol and a little sticky. The aftertaste is sweet alcohol with hints of sour.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody bourbon caramel aroma. Fruity malty woody bourbon caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty woody caramel and bourbon finish.

Pours dark amber with a white head. Aroma is roasted caramel, dried fruit, oak and vanilla. Flavour is roasted caramel, dried fruit, oak, vanilla, alcohol and grass.
