Flavour seems a touch sour and moderate sweet. Not sure if this bottle may be off, according to Deanso it’s different than one tried previously. Seems like white wine barrel aged but don’t know from the bottle. Certainly not what I expected.

Bottle from bierzwerg.de. Hazy deep amber color with medium white head. Seet malty aroma with alcohol and wood. Sweet malt, honey, dried fruits. To much on sweet side for me. Not bad, but there are much better beers from De Molen.

Bottle. Somewhat hazy golden beer with a nice offwhite/yellowish head. Malty woody bourbon aroma, caramel, nuts, vanilla notes, biscuits, vinous, leather, a bit sourish. Malty bourbon flavor, raisins, caramel, woody, a bit boozy, vanilla, oak, toffee notes, biscuits, spicy notes. Full bodied, and with a finish bringing alcohol, vanilla, oak and vanilla.

Hazy amber pour. Small off white head. Some lacing. Bourbon and wood aroma with a slight acetic scent. Vanilla and pepper. Taste is a sweet melange of the same. Nice.

Bottled. Hazy amber to copper color, short slight off-white head. Aroma of soft oak and bourbon, vanilla and a hint of biscuit. Hint of spicyness, soft toast and caramel. Reminds me a lot of La Trappe Quad Oak Aged on bourbon, but just a little less complex in the nose. Soft sweet taste of caramel together with dry notes from the oak. A bit thin in body and a bit watery in taste. Finishes medium bitter and rather dry. I’m tempted to put it side by side with a Quad #12 (which is better because of lots more complexity btw).

Nice reddish colour. Too much carbonation. Aroma of raisons and a little wkisky-like. Taste of caramell and some raisins. I don’t get any "barrel" in the taste.

Draft at Torst in NYC. Dark golden brown, slight whisky. Thin foam head. Big veggie aroma, ginger body. Cider, mead. Good whisky twist with some mild apple finish. Alc and malt backbone.

Pours a hazy murky amber. Nose is applebrandy, raisins, caramel, molasses, wild yeast. Taste is sour apples, caramel, vanilla, bitter almonds, pears. Quite strange and I would not label this a Barley Wine yself...

Bottle. It pours a lightly unclear dark golden body and a small, dense, off-white head. Lightly alcoholic aroma with lots of fruityness, tropical fruits and some citrus, as well as sugary malts. Some oak hints. The flavor is mostly fruity, with some vinous hints, oak and alcohol. Full body, warming and soft. Well, it’s far from bad, but I know lots of barley wines I’d rather have. 130510
