from Erzbierschof - hazy bronze colour with a little white foam left; the aroma is estery with strong corny notes; moderate malt body and carbonation; some late tart acidity; quite dry, estery finish with notes of pear, apples and corn

Bouteille: Golden with an orangey sheen, smaller - but stable and lacy - white head; wheaty-fruity nose with a dryish hop profile underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a light acidity, soft and medium bodied; sweet fruity (+ wheaty) and bitter-hoppy finish, lingering aromatic hops in the aftertaste. Very interesting combination of wheat and hops.....

(bottle, 75cl) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a blonde medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet malty and wheaty aroma with notes of apricots, banana and citric and slightly herbal-spicy aroma hops. Mildly sweet and slightly acidic flavour, quite light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malty and moderately wheaty taste with rounded notes of fruity noble hops, lingering into the moderately dry and fruity wheaty finish. Pretty pleasant Hefeweizen, reminds me a bit of Schneiders Wiesen Weisse. 11.VIII.10

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, modestly priced. Cloudy yellow. Apricots and a little sourness in the aroma, fruity body, lovely sour finish. Fine summer beer, tasty yet light.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Light orange body with medium head. Nose of bananas and wheat. But not enough bananas and too much wheat. Fruity light taste with some bananas in middle and spicy finish. Not really my thing. Quite clean but quite bland too.

0.75 L corked and wired bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. A big airy snowy white head upon a foggy yellow golden body. Fresh fruit aroma. Faint banana and oranges, or maybe orange marmelade. Also a whiff of lactic acids. Medium to light wheaty malt body. Fairly crisp, fairly dry. Notes of spices and fruity hops. Light to medium light body strengt. Fruity, hoppy and light spicy endnotes. Not true to the type. But goes well down and has good quenching abilities.

Huge slightly coarse offwhite head. Opaque hazy yellow body. Fruity bananaish wheat aroma with mealy herbal floral notes. Very clean and fresh. Dry, very very faintly acidic, fruity banana and wheat taste with herbal notes. Thinnish body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry-bitter herbal grassy aftertaste with mealy notes. Not a whole lot going on here, except possibly a light infection. (0.75l bottle, Vika wine monopoly, Oslo. Bottled 2010-03-31.)

Sampled at Erzbiershof’s Versuchungen Vol. 1. The nose is decent without offering any memorable inviting components. Light bodied. Glue and banana throughout. Not too much character. A bit boring and dissapointing.

Bottled. Hazy golden colored, nice head. Nose of banana, yoghurt and wheat. Initially more sour than one usually finds in a Hefeweizen, in finish more bitter and dry. Mediocre wheat beer, the bitter finish does not really seem to match with the style.

Bottled. Had it 1st time on a night after we visited copenhagen beer festival. Taste was ofcourse bit off and thin (see skortila’s rating). Drank this beer yesterday in the sunshine on a lovely spring afternoon (aka the perfect weather for a weizen). Cloudy golden color, big head. Aroma of wheat, banana, some caramel malt, quite hoppy for a weizen. Bitter and wheaty taste, full bodied. All in all a fairly hoppy hefeweizen, which are usually a bit more sweet. Very drinkable, quite nice.
