330ml pourred into tulip. Pours a very deep opaque brown with copper highlights with one of the biggest head I’ve ever seen for a rauchbier with such a high abv. Aroma is a mix of campfire and caramel malts, cacao (as it warms up) and a bit of alcohol. Taste is obviously smoky and also a bit sugary as the brew warms up, and theres a bit of bitterness too. Mouthfeel is thin-slick (would’ve expected a thicker mouthfeel than that but its ok) with average carbonation. Aftertaste is full of roasted cereals, very nice. Overall a very nice high abv rauchbier (and my first de molen :D) I’ll try tasting their bloed zweet & tranen soon!

Headless.. Pitch black.. Nice peaty aroma, mouth has more bacon and finish more earthy smoke, but never annoying... Cocolat and malts... Sweet thick body and an awesome subtle chilli smoke finish... Very complex and interesting beer

Bottle, dark brown, almost black. Massive brown head with loads of carbonation. This bottle’s lively! Smoked meat, bit of chocolate and root beer along with some forest floor earthiness. A surprisingly sweet initial taste leads to a satisfying savoury bitterness. Chocolatey bittersweet finish. Full palette improved further by the carbonation. A great brewery pulls off another brilliant beer.

On tap at Borefts After Festival. Black with a creamy beige head. Aroma is smoke, peppers, dark fruits, leather, sandalwood. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, well balanced smoke and a very subtle spice on the palate, lightly sweet and creamy finish. Taste is smoke, chocolate, figs, dates, subtle chili, leather, honey. Some if the spice creeps up on the back of your throat as you drink more.

From tap at brewery. Black body, nice beige head. Chili very present - way too much for me. Didn’t add anything other than destabilising a good, smoky beer.

"Simund hits the nail on the head with his review. The only things I’d add I’d that out of the bottle, even the gentlest pour produces a ginormous head. Between that and the floaties, gotta knock the appearance a touch, but overall a cool beer with more smoke than fire."

Fantastic beer. Corpo e Aroma pieni ricchi. L’affumicato e il Torbato sono ben bilanciati. Questa birra mi ha rubato il cuore

Aroma: smoked ham, chocolate, bit of coffee. Taste: very chocolate, bit of sourness. Overall rather dry. Low bitternes. Low carbonate. You can feel warmness from alcohol when you swell it. Very good.

Completely dark, small tan head. Smoked as hell! Love it from the first sip! Aroma is, of course, roasty, smoked meat, dark chocolate. Thin to medium body, flat carbonation. Long meaty finish. Extraordinary!

Bottle. Moderate to heavy bread, cereal and milk chocolate for the malt. Moderate perfume, dough and meat for the hops and yeast, with notes of smoke, dried pepper and dates in the background. Head is average size, frothy/fizzy, tan with slippery lacing and good legs. Color is muddy dark brown. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, and heavily bitter. Palate is medium to full, extremely fizzy, and finishes moderately alcoholic and sticky on the lips. A little overly carbonated, but this Smoked beer is highly complex.

Bottle. Very dark liquid with small beige head. Full to medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet and creamy. Very smoked. Good one but too smoked for my taste.
