Borefts warm up -bottle in the Hotel. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Crispy palate, minerally. Nice rye malt, spicy with an unusual hint of vanilla. Malt cream. Nice hops - lemony citrus with a little skunk and orange. Finishes crisp. Love this rye and lemon citrus.

Clear dark orange beer, nice irregular creamy head, pretty stable, adhesive, nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, somewhat syrupy, sugary, couch syrup, ripe mango, citrus, honey, sweet berries, bit herbal. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sugary, sweet start, fruity, some chocolate, caramel, syrupy. Aftertaste: nice bitter hops, bit sugary, fruity notes, grassy.

Bottle: Medium to lightly bigger sized vast and thicker beige light tan slow disappearing foamy head on top of a hazy red ish dark amber colored beer. Smell lovely hops, hop flowers and hop fruits: citrus, pine, cactus, gass, malts, a hint of rye (because we know it), hint of yeast, also some older hops and forest herbs. Taste nice hoppy flavours, citrus, grapefruit, pine, peach, bitters, chalk, light cream, hint of marzepin, hint of butter, floral, some sweet tones like caramel and vanilla. Aftertaste is floral hops with some hop fruits, hop flowers, hop bitter and hop sweets... (Broad, but it is). Low carbo, soft light silky light spicy mouthfeel, just a bit more than a medium body and a creamy texture. Very nice rye IPA, balanced, smooth and tasty!

Hazy red amber, firm light beige head. Aroma is peach and lychee hops. There’s a good amount of sweetness in this IPA. Some rye detectable, what I always like in a beer. Good body and nice carbo.

330ml bottle. De Molen Flute glass. Enjoyed on mar´13. Deep ruby color. Clear appearance. Off-white to yellowish froth creates a close to creamy crown. Active bubbles coming up & down but good retention. Aromas of toasted malts, molasses & alcohol, hints of burnt black bread. Smooth malty flavor & earthy hoppiness at first sip. Spicy touch follows. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Slight wood & resins in the middle as well as roasted coffee grain & rye dryness linger into long bitter finish. Resins & rye remain on the aftertaste. Refreshing, delightful & unforgetable beer. How rye works is perfectly shown in this.

Hazy brown glowing body and creamy beige head that leaves a nice lace. Interesting aroma that balanced a spruce and pineapple like bitterness with rough malts into a very nice and rich smell. Taste is a similarly nice interplay of earthy dryness, fresh hops and a smooth base. Spot on carbonation. Definitely different than the other Rye IPA varieties. Very reasonably priced too! (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

Huge orangey-coloured head, quite stable & lacey over copper-amber beer; Mandarines, overripe oranges, Mandarine Napoléon, chocolate with orange stuffing, but also a tad dusty smelling. Quite bitter, bit woody, kumquats. Hint at chocolate, just enough malt for basis; other grains just showing glimpses of themselves. Excellent balance. Spritzy, quite slick, medium bodied; smooth feel. Good IPA, could vie with the better WestCoast samples.

Amber brown colour, white head. Aroma of rye bread (the lighter kind), hops, earth, malts, caramel, toffee, caramelised apples and clay. Bitter hoppy flavour, quite sweet, caramel. Sweet malty finish, bitter hops.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Citrus, Blumen. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig herb, leicht nach Kräutern.
