3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours black with a little crema like head. The nose has lots of hard roast. Licorice powder.. The salty kind. The taste has only light sweetness but rather hard roast, some small hints of pepper and 99% dark chocolate and licorice. Mouthfeel is medium rich with medium carbonation, honestly, pretty underwhelming.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
On tap & Hoppiness Beer Stop. Pours pithc black with thin creamy light brown head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and chili peppers with mild woody character. Taste starts sweet and rich roasted malt, coffee and cocoa, follows by light licorice and a bit salty, mouthfeel is warming and mild spicy, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Hell of a tasty, rich bold and strong, incredibly tasty even for hot summer afternoon...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Piana niska, brązowa. Kolor piwa czarny. W aromacie kawa, czekololada. Lekko można wyczuć alkohol. Chyba też lekko tą sól morską. Niskie wysycenie.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33 l bottle at ’Gollem - De Pijp’, bottled in February 2016. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish, a little roasty and a bit smoky aroma of dark chocolate, some coffee, licorice and hazelnut. Sweet, slightly roasty and a bit smoky taste of dark chocolate, some coffee, hazelnut and licorice, followed by a rather long, moderately roasty-bitter, a little peppery finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice, but just average for the style and the brewery.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml bottle into snifter, bottled on 9/1/2015. Pours cloudy opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, wood smoke, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, chili pepper, light dark fruit(raisin/plum/fig), light char, herbal, and roast/smokey earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, chili pepper, and light fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, wood smoke, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, chili pepper, light dark fruit(raisin/plum/fig), light char, herbal, and roast/smokey earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness and pepper spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, wood smoke, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, chili pepper, char, herbal, and roast/smokey earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, chili pepper, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and chili spiciness balance, with zero astringency after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness, that lightly increases through the glass. Light carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish; with minimal pepper heat as well. Overall this is an excellent chili spiced imperial stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, chili pepper, and light fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
