At a tasting, thanks DSG, opaque very dark brown, woody aroma with some roastiness, floweriness, sausauge and something metalic, flavour of coffee, milk chocolate, fudge, smoke in the back and just a whiff of chilie and chocolate, a bit too light bodied. Off centre and quite enjoyable.

Bottle (fresh). Caramel biscuity and smoky aroma. Lightly fruity and roasted. Almost black colour, small short lasting head. Almost no carbonation apparently. Strength is ostentatiously coming through throughout the beer but well... it is an impy so some alcohol is to be expected. Does not get to an unpleasant level, nor do I get fusels presence. Rather a rich malty profile with loads of different malts. Strong caramel biscuity base with roasted, chocolate and smoked building upon it. Intense, complex and rewarding brew. None to light carbonation, oily texture. Do not get confused by chilli and salt on the label. They provide just barely noticeable layers of flavour to otherwise already excellent beer. Chilli in a peppery note mid-flavour and slightly warm finish where it works well with alcohol, and salt in full chewy mouthfeel. Especially interesting when you pour it a little bit colder and observe how it changes with temperature. Chilli comes from barely noticeable to moderate, heat increases, as does the already full body. Do not share. Drink this alone.

W aromacie silna deserowa czekolada, praliny z likierowym nadzieniem, intensywnie i przyjemnie. Podobnie w smaku, czekolada deserowa, trochę paloności, nieco karmelu i wtrętów orzechowych, wystarczająco pełny i dobrze ułożony (nie ma czestego u de molena acetonu i nadmiernej alkoholowości). W ogóle nie czuć dodatków chilli i soli. Kakao owszem. Udane piwo!

Aroma is a bit smokey with some salty meat. Flavour has some deep floral notes but remains botter and roasty.

Another imperial stout from de Molen. Chock full of cocoa malt, molasses and ash. Very smoked. Good - but like all the other deMolen beers.

Bottle. Deep brown, almost black in coliur with big beige head, slightly overcarbed. In aroma chocolate, roastiness, dred fruits. In taste similar, sweet with noticable cacao and chilli that leaves medium spiciness in the aftertaste. Medium bitter finish, alcohol vety well hidden.
