(Draught) Very dark brown with no head. Pretty malty but mild aroma with vanilla hints and licorice. Smoky, tarry, silky-smooth flavor with loads of malt, some licorice, moderate hop bitterness, not too much color malt. Quite full body, not much carbonation. Another hit from this brewery - even as the aroma lagged a bit behind flavor.

Tap @ De Molen. Dark chocolate and licorice in the overwhelming aroma. The dark chocolate returns in the much more Islay malt whisky like flavor. Smoke, lapsang souchong tea, tar, peat, hints of licorice. Well made, very tasty beer that hides the alcohol well and that should gain more complexity with further maturation. Already more than excellent.
