MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Aug 12, 2008 Bottle, 5.7%. Violent gusher though quite cold. Good, distinct, teaish hop aroma. Cloudy dark amber colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is quite malty with a distinct, but mild teaish hop flavour. Not very bitter. Good mouthfeel. The yeast at the bottom has a slightly metallic flavour. Maria (3963), Thisted, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Courtesy og Bierkonig. The color is nice, dark amber and it has rising pearls in the brew. The head is huge, nice and creamy. The aroma is wonderfully hopped with notes of spruce, resin, citrus, caramel and papaya. The flavour has a light sweetness, chewy notes of caramel, spruce, citrus, mango, papaya and the finish is spice. It’s delicious with a lot of flavour. henrikb (1031), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 10, 2008 Bottle - Beautiful deep dark red amber body, huge lasting beige head; Deep balanced very special nose with a soft sweet mandarin part and a more strict earthy spicy Earl Grey part; The body is way to thin, the texture is to thin and it has very little complexity and fill to it; It finishes simple with a strict sharp bitter bite and some full a little to fat sweetness. It starts very promising and ends quite sad. Very special but not very successful. jerohen (1465), Bussum, Netherlands Mar 1, 2008 Bottled, thanks to caesar. Cloudy brown coloured, huge head, lots of carbonation. Fresh hoppy nose and flavour, fruity, quite bitter. Nice brew. caesar (2496), Zeist, Netherlands Feb 19, 2008 Bottled. Pours a beautiful deep copper color, medium lasting off-white head. Aroma of hops, soft grapefruit, hint of pine, tender caramel, malty. Taste is bitter, some cookie, slight malty, some grapefruit again. Good stuff.
