Bottle. Amber, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, some caramel, light barnyard and some hoppyness, light alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light dark fruitiness, some hoppyness and some alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and light fruitiness, some herbal - grassy hoppyness, alcohol. IIPA with too much alcohol considering the body and bitterness - not very enjoyable.

Bottle. Orange copper, with sediment in bottle. Green hoppy nose, a tad of citrus, really saazer- like aroma. The malts are a bit sweet, caramel, dark toffee. Body is full. Quite nice caramel maltiness. A bit of crackers, bread. Sweetish finish, some darker fruity flavours (slight raisins), greenish hops. I’m surprised. I thought nobody made dipas with continental hoppyness. This is really nice, I’m discovering a new appreciation for non-US/NZ hops as aroma add-ons. Works pretty well here.

Hazy orange with an off-white, lasting, nice lacy, frothy head. Lots of fruit on the nose with flowers, grass, toffee, malt, pepper and light spices. Nice and fresh. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of malt and caramel with soft spices and a great fruity centre with citrus and hops and finishes with a dry bitter yeast finish. Belgian IPA rather than a Double IPA maybe. Nice

Bottle from Beernavigator. Bottled 6th feb 2013. 10,2% ABV. Pours amber, slightly hazy, small head. No big aromas or tastes. Herbal, earthy notes, yeast, dill seeds, green pepper, vegetable juice. Well hidden alchohol, little bitterness. Hard to put in a category, but definately not an DIPA in my book.

33cl bottle (bottled on Feb. 6th, 2013, 10.2%) picked up at the De Molen bottle shop pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam leaving behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up some caramel, malt sweetness initially and then malt sweetened cherry candy notes. Another pull reveals earthy sweet floral hop notes and bread. The taste is similar with malt sweetened cherries that are hard cherry candy like as well as tangelo, earthy sweetened floral hop bitter notes. It gets resiny with more bitter hops in spots. Overall this is a pretty tame IIPA but I do enjoy this unique hop profile as well as the hardly detectable 10.2% ABV.
