Bottled. Hazy brown with a medium sized tan head. Leaving a fair lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and citrus. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and with bitter notes. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft CO2. A nice and quite hoppy impy.★★★★

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Brewed Jan. 28, 2010. Pours a brownish color with a tan head. The aroma is a great mix of chocolate and pine. The flavor is very similar. I get a lot of chocolate and some roasted malt as well as some pine and a low amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Aroma: fruity, some gunpowder, honey, less of the chocolate and licorice.
Taste: hop fruitiness, licorice, cocoa, light burnt, grapefruit, quite bitter, dry towards the end.
Medium bodied.
Quite hoppy for an old beer.

(750ml bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, pine, grass, and citrus. Flavor of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, pine, anise, and grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish.

Medium to bigger sized, tan colored and airy structured head. Changes slowly into a lacing.
Beer color is murky brown with some yeast particles on the bottom of my glass.
Aroma’s of chocolate, roasted malts, mocha. Pretty nice.
flavours of coffee, barley roast, bitters, dark herbs and some dark fruits. Pretty smooth.
Aftertaste is bitter, roast, chocolate, light spicy.
Low carbo, soft smooth close to silky mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a soft creamy texture.
Good beer, nicely balanced and tasty enough. Not sure if the aging added something?

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye bottled 3-3-10) clear deep copper, lasting fine white bubbles. Nose of Pine, grapefruit candied find, chocolate, fudgey. Taste is an awesome balance of hops and chocolate. Candied citrus, fudge, rich, vanilla, super delicious. Wow.

Dark/black with very large head. The aroma of caramel and roasted coffee beans and chocolate is very sweet, the taste is a good mix between hops and the chocolate and coffee taste of a stout. Great beer but an explosive bottle.

Aroma is hoppy with nettles, some cocoa and roasted malt. Flavour has hops, nettles, some ash, coffee and some cocoa. Good, but Stout and hops just aren’t a perfect match.

looks very nice, black , foams pretty much .
tates like an IPA but with a little stout in it. i do like stout, but here it did more bad than good. its like mixing coca cola with water, both appart are ok, together? not so much. the stout took away the freshness of the IPA, the IPA took away the heavy hitting tastepunch you have in a good stout... cool to have had the chance to drink something this limited, but thats about it..
