This beer was one to remember, in my eyes! The palate was just so pretty balanced. It went from place to place, starting with the muskiness I just demand from something that calls itself a "saison". Then it went over a sour hill to a sweet plain field where your tastebuds could roam free for a while. Very, very nice!

A hazy orange amber saison with reddish hues, and a thin lacing white head. In aroma, restrained fruity esters with orange pulp, curacao, very smooth. In mouth, a smooth herbaceous malt with coriander, a bit of curacao, some apple skins, nice alcohol finale. Quite nice. On tap at Vices et versa, 1 year old keg, Feb. 13 2011.

Tap at KBH festival, 2009. Muddy yellow with a creamy egg white head. Leather, grass, yeast, dust and alcohol. Herbal/medicine notes. Dry, herbal and spicy taste. Fine balance. I liked it.

On tap at Arendsnest 8/26/09: Pours a hazy amber golden with a well-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet lightly biscuity malt with a touch of orange peel and clove. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty Belgian malt with a nice balance of bitter orange peel, mild tartness, and allspice before a drier, earthy finish. Hides its alcohol fairly well. A pretty interesting saison.

05-MAR-2010, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer". Golden/orange, nice white head. Slightlyt sour nose. Grape fruit, oranges, caramel. No idea about the strenghth of this. I cannot fell the ABV at all. Very creamy, nice brew.

Hoppy with effervescent alcohol driving the aroma upward, though still not as much as the abv would predict. Still, clearly packed with abv. Smooth, silky (not fizzy), citrusy, with a little metal in the finish but not at all astringent. Hazy yellow. Very good. (on tap at Nederlands Biercafe ‘t Arendsnest, Amsterdam)

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Cloudy amber beer, thick creamy head. Soft creamy palate. Aromatic malt, sweet and a little floral. Juicy sweet saison.

29th October 2014
2009 bottle. Still lively, clear amber with a decent cream colour head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, good fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, some cream. Light touch of dried fruits and crystallised fruits. Still a little a peppery alcohol here. Smooth semi dry finish. Warming afterglow. Decent.

Bottled from Bierkoning. #1001, June 2009 Murky orange with almost no head. Yeasty, malty, sweet with liquorice and sweet, dried fruits; raisins, figs, dates. Slightly vinous. Complex flavour with oak-notes.

Another great one from the Molen. Quite limited, had it on tap at the Arendsnest. It’s amazing how many flavors these guys can fit into one beer.
