COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
OG 1108, FG 1026, Color 388.7 EBC, Chinook and Saaz hops. Bitterness 93.5 EBU.

Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011 from bottle. Pours a hazy murky-brown body lasting off-white head packed with lots of floaters. Sour and tarty aroma, oaky and light hopy with a hint of butter. Softly carbonated and medium-bodied. This was some strange flavors! Slightly sweet and sour, it’s hopy but almost pungent-hopy. Longlasting alcohol and hops in the aftertaste. Interesting, but a bit weird and definitely not what I was expecting from an imperial porter.

180 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with a small, light brown head. Aroma of strong tobacco, roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, tobacco, dark coffee and chocolate. Oily texture. Full bodied with a thick mouthfeel and a smooth, dry, roasty finish. Pleasant.

180ml bottle, thanks lusikka

Pours pitch black with a sticky head. Aroma has hints of roasted malts and tobacco. Taste is quite imperial stoutish without a massive amount of typical roastiness. Sticky, long lasting finish. Nice, but nothing special here.

Gut! /12/12/13//12

Bottle 4 years old. Dark brown color, small brown head. Aroma is buttery and thick with lots of smooth roast, coffee, chocolate and spices. Taste is quite sweet, also spicy with some oak, coffee and smooth liqourice. Maybe a little on the sweet side.
