OG 1108, FG 1026, Color 388.7 EBC, Chinook and Saaz hops. Bitterness 93.5 EBU.

Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

Bottle. Black with gorgeous tan head. Creamy mouthfeel. Light carbonation. A sweet, mildly hoppy flavour. There’s a syrupy prune note. A smoky presence. The alcohol is well contained. All in all, this beer is an absolute delight. So much going on.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of liqourice, chocolate and booze. Flavour is dark chocolate, dark fruit with a hoppy bitterness in the background. Almost flat but full bodied. Very good.

180mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), pours black with a small tan ring of head. Aroma of sugar, slight brandy (though not as pronounced as in the Reserva version), liqueur-coated chocolate and a considerable hop presence. Flavour is rich and full-bodied with brandy covered fruits, chocolate, slight booze, wood, and finishes roasty and hoppy. Full-bodied and complex, especially for a porter. Inferior to the Reserva but still damn well-made and enjoyable.

Bottle at Dan’s. Pours a deep black/brown. Aroma of dark fruit, hop spiciness, liquor, a touch of chocolate. Chocolate, dark fruits, liqyorice and hop spice in the taste. Maybe a touch flat, but it suits this one. Very nice indeed.

Bottle at home. Black pour, tiny beige head fades to nothing. Possibly a little flat. Big fruity nose, liquorice, spicy hops. Definitely porter not stout. Rich chocolate front, fruity, slightly tangy with a bitter fruity finish. Lovely beer!

2010 bottle. Black with a small tan head. Roasted aroma with malt, liquorice and coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, bitter hops, some coffee and liquorice. Full-bodied, dry and bitter aftertaste. Good, quite balanced porter.

Brown, dark bodied with amazing bubbly and firm tan head. Rich, creamy aroma with roasted bread, chocolate covered toffee and pine tree. Great lacing. Very, very smooth body, even though the alcohol bursts though in your troat. Some sharp nasty bits in the taste but these bring a welcoming bitterness to the otherwise sweet balanced beer. Aftertaste stays seemingly forever. A heartwarming beer, this is. Rough and smooth at the same time. An attack to your Christmas spirit taste buts. Like. (33cl bottle)

Black pour. Medium-sized tan head that falls quickly and leaves a little bit of lacing. Notes of vanilla, roasted grains, and alcohol. Chocolate and vanilla tastes. Bitter. Nice beer.

18cl bottle pours an opaque, mahogany brown with a thin, creamy, slight off white head. Aromas of ground dark chocolate, light smoke, almost like a slice of brown bread that spent two minutes too long in the toaster, malted milk balls, a little rubber, some dried pine. Flavor is bitter, both from the hops and from burnt malts, rubbery, some light smoke, dried leaves, some cherry, a little espresso, mexican chocolate. Full bodied, dry, slightly hot finish.
