Rating #1603 - 14.04.2015 - Easter Dinner beers - 330mL bottle from the depths of the cellar. Pours jet black with a luxurious velvety tan head with excellent retention. Aroma is heavy on molasses, dark roast coffee, toffee, burnt sugar notes. Coffee flavours throughout, accented by vanilla bean, caramel and brown sugar notes, as well as an assertive, roasty bitterness. Exquisite.

Bottle. Nice, but unstable, small, beige head. In aroma mostly chocolate, some coffee and pleasant notes of alcohol. In taste is sweet, chocolate, some notes of coffee with great chocolote-alcoholic aftertaste. There is very low bitterness, i think thath it should be higher.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2016 It is a perfect beer to finish a night. The taste is sweet, vanilla and complex. The color is black and onctueux and thin foam. This beer is strong and we eat at the same time crazy. I think that it is important to drink this beer not so cold and quietly. The alcohol is present but it is not so strong and the comple aroma is well balanced, weak carbonation typical from these beers.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2016 Iíve tasted half a dozen hundred of beers. Itís clearly my favourite. The aromas are coffee/chocolaty. The appearance is very nice, lacking a bit of foam though. Taste is... wonderful, caramel, coffe, chocolate, malts, spices etc. Same for the palate. 19 may be overrated, but I mean it. When I die I want to go to the Heavens and drink De Molenís beers while eating great food and listening to metal. Go for it if you like imperial beers, you cannot miss this one ! Edit: the review was made out of my memory, Iíve tasted this beer years ago, still my favourite.
