COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
OG 1108, FG 1026, Color 388.7 EBC, Chinook and Saaz hops. Bitterness 93.5 EBU.

Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

Bottle. Teku glass. Pitch black with medium, light brown head. Deep dark fruits aroma - raisins, plums, also some toffee, caramel and light milk chocolate infused with plums. Incerdibe aroma Taste is light sweetness, well empowered by strong malty caramel notes. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. In overall great imperial porter not usual with strong hints of dark fruits and not so sweet.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2016 It is a perfect beer to finish a night. The taste is sweet, vanilla and complex. The color is black and onctueux and thin foam. This beer is strong and we eat at the same time crazy. I think that it is important to drink this beer not so cold and quietly. The alcohol is present but it is not so strong and the comple aroma is well balanced, weak carbonation typical from these beers.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2016 I’ve tasted half a dozen hundred of beers. It’s clearly my favourite. The aromas are coffee/chocolaty. The appearance is very nice, lacking a bit of foam though. Taste is... wonderful, caramel, coffe, chocolate, malts, spices etc. Same for the palate. 19 may be overrated, but I mean it. When I die I want to go to the Heavens and drink De Molen’s beers while eating great food and listening to metal. Go for it if you like imperial beers, you cannot miss this one ! Edit: the review was made out of my memory, I’ve tasted this beer years ago, still my favourite.

Bottle pour at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is malty, soy sauce, dark fruits. Taste is tangy, saucy (almost a bit of savory gravy in there), dark chocolate, chewy salted licorice, slightly herbal and bitter. Snazzy.
