Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Nose is chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is dominated by chocolate, but also has some sweet bourbon like notes but finishes with some smoke/char notes and some hop bitterness. Palate is thick and creamy. This is one of the best porters I've had in a while. Complex and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from Liquor Max in Loveland. Very dark brown, with little head and little carbonation. Swirling causing a bit of a light brown head. Aroma has chocolate, caramel, molasses and espresso. Rich and full. Taste is of chocolate, light cherry, some caramel, and some espresso. Quite smooth. Medium to full bodied with surprisingly little alcohol presence. Finishes smoothly bittersweet, more to the bitter side. Very well done, smooth and nice. Wish there was more. 15.8

33cl bottle, served in tulip. Pours deep dark brown, almost black, with small beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is licorice, caramel and hints of chocolate. The flavour is not strong regarding roasted malts, it is basically chocolate, caramel and hops. Hints of red grape and coffee as well. Round on the palate, the sweetness is very balanced and the mouthfeel is really creamy. The ABV is well hidden and the carbonation is perfect. Overall: so good! Works as a dessert beer, by the way.

On tap at Taproom Malmö. Black with a small tan head. Sweetish and vinous with chocolate, coffee, some hints of dark fruit and licorice. The body was full and the aftertaste long.

Rating #5100! Deep dark brown coloured body with a touch of clear golden brown coming through the sides, all with a very thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, alcohol, roasted malt, earth, raisins and bunches of caramelised sugars and pit fruits. Full-bodied; Rich roasted malt flavours with pit fruits, earth, vanilla, bourbon and maple syrup noticeable - pungent and very well-rounded. Aftertaste shows a good robust malt flavour with some anise, nutmeg, earth, smoke and even a bit of pungent yeast flavours coupled with a solid sweet finish from the pit fruits and caramel - very nice, as expected. Overall, a great beer, and a nice choice for a 100th rating (51 of them), and most likely even better, considering i’ve been keeping it around for a while and even going to Holland in the process while this is back home. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Olive Tree Market Place in San Diego, California on 07-June-2013 for US$9,99 sampled at home in Washington on 07-August-2015. Produced in The Netherlands on 05-April-2012. Produced: 05-April-2012 // Purchased: 07-June-2013 // Sampled: 07-August-2015

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wroclaw). Piwo totalnie nieprzejrzyste o niemal czarnej barwie, bezowej pianie, calkiem obfitej o kremowej konsystencji oblepiajacej szklo w stu procentach. Aromat niezbyt intensywny z nutami porterowymi, slodkimi, sherry, delikatnie palonymi, sliwki, suszone owoce.
