Stronger version of a Baltic Porter. Comparable with an Imperial Stout but without the heavily roasted malt character. This created a soft beer with strong hops in the finish.

33 cl bottle, thanks to BierKönig for giving me this. Thick chocolate malt and light chalky aroma. Soldy alcohol presence and a light roasted note. Flavour is roasted and smoked flavour. Not much carbonation. Light fruity note. finish is dominated by smoked malt. Ends with a nice smoked and chocolate dominated flavour. Great.

Bottled@Fonefan. A perfect ending to two very nice days around in Ulfborg! Very dark rubyish brown colour (close to black) with small creamy brown head that stays for a while. Aroma is raisins, smoked wood, some peat, mild smoke as well as some slight fruityness. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, licorice, alcohol as well as some mildly smoked wet wood. Really complex and wellbalanced. Fullbodied.

All these years and not rated this! How did that happen? Opaque black - brown beer, a few tan bubbles for a head. Palate is smooth and semi dry and pretty much zero carbonation. Rich dark chocolate malt. Touch of dark fruits. Simple beer, and flat - but amazing!

With some surprise the bottle opens without sounds, the beer is completely flat, it pours still, with just some few bubbles due to the fall; black color. The aroma is very rich, with chocolate, leather; then some tobacco and very light phenol. The texture is rather oily, but the chocolate flavor is excellent, with moderate residual sweetness, some leather, some liquorice, and mild woody astringency in the end; quite bold bitterness too. With some carbonation, this beer must be splendid.
