Draught, 5.6% at Alvinne pre-ZBF09. Good vanilla, raisin, cigarbox aroma. Cloudy dark red brown colour. Fruity flavour, some vanilla, and more raisin. Not exactly sour, only a little citric, but nice. The aftertaste is a little alcoholic, like a strong beer.

A Mes rate: draught at Alvinne Pre ZBF. First beer of the day and thrust into my hand by Menno as soon as we walked in. Dark amber / copper colour with a good off white head. Good caramel malt base with hints of tarty Flemishness on top. Faint earthy notes and a hint of liquorice plus just a hint of citrus in the finish. Just the right amount of barrel. Hugely quaffable. Lovely. Thanks Menno.

Draught at Alvinne. Alround rating: Yeasty fruity notes, some dustyness, malty biscuityness some doughyness, floral bittering hop and small hints of wood. I was kind of expecting a sour ale and seem tohave got something which i dont know fully what it is. Nicely drinkable stuff.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ober (2763) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2009
Draught @ Pre-ZBF Alvinne. A dark amber, little hazy colored beer, with a nice foamy beige head. The aroma of soft fruity malts with some notes of whisky. The taste is dry, fruits like grapes/citrus. There is bitter with some wood. The aftertaste is a little bitter.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fata2683 (2165) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2009
on tap at the Pre-ZBF, pours hazy amber with a medium size off white head. Soft sweet malt and light sour aroma. Sweet and brown biscuity malt flavors mix with a slight sourness and a kind of butter flavor. Not in a bad way, very enjoyable beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 yespr (25947) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 7, 2009
From tap. Pours hazy deep orange to brown with a small dense and tan head. Sweet, milky and wooden to light alcohol note from the whisky. Caramelish and sweet impression. Mild milky to a whisky dense caramel malt base. Nice blend which gives a distinct more "serious" malt base form the whisky compared to many other flemish oud bruins, as a consequence the body is more full and smooth. Smooth wineous and malty finish. Nice one.
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 6, 2009
Draught Small, off-white head, pretty stable over totally hazy brown-amber beer. Wood, alcohol (for 5.6%!), whiskymalts, phenols, fruit. Grapey flavour, malt, dry plywood, some oxydated malts too. Warming up, really like chewing liquorice - the branches itself. Light body, despite the alcohol impression. Very interesting beer, well "worth the detour" to talk in Michelin terms.
