Bottle, traded with Bierkoning. Hazy dark amber with a big and frothy head. Lovely hoppy aroma of melon, peach, passion fruit, lychee, citrus, white grapes, resin, but also freshly mown grass and a spicy, peppery yeastiness. Unfortunately the carbonation is too high and biting and perhaps the body a tad too light, but that is only a minor flaw here. Otherwise, this beer is great. Grassy-tropical taste, strong, earthy-peppery-grassy bitterness, a warming, slightly boozy feel and an aftertaste of white grapes. Great!

Bottle - Heavy grapefruit but with orange peel, passion fruit and spice. Cloudy orange with medium persistent head. Sweet grapefruit, mild bitterness and yeasty finish. Wonderfully smooth and creamy but mellow.

33cl bottle. Amber colour with a good formation of a white head, nice lacing, good persistence. Aroma is fresh, hoppy and floral. Flavour is slightly malty, bittery with hints of citrus and orange. The final has a good persistence of bitterness. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

Idiosynkrasie (4532) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2012
330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with huge firm frothy to creamy lacing white head. Decent floral and fruity hop aroma seems to suffocate in the frothy head. One-dimensional grassy hop taste, flavourless malt basis. Disappointing.

Cloudy beige beer. Thick white head which is creamy and light. The beer is also light and frothy. Light creamy malt and a little dry. Soft spritzy hops but not that bitter or full on. Finishes soft and semi dry. A lovely light and tasty beer that delights with it’s subtle charms.

Sample from John at De Molen Brewery, thanks John! Nice orange/amber color, white head, nice compact foam. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is very hoppy, bitter and you can easily feel touches of tropical fruits. Very good beer!

12oz from a tap. Cloudy amber colour with almost non existent head. Wonderful and strong sweet flowery aroma with a touch of honey. Nice grapefruit bitterness up front with legs to match. Smooth, almost silky, mouthfeel with trailing bubbly carbonation. A pleasure to drink. With a beer this good I had to have another. Second pull had a nice 1cm head which disappeared in about a minute.
