2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
11.2 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Beer Shoppe. Batch 1220. The aroma on this is very herbal and earthy. Some boiled vegetal notes, but primarily just a really weird herbal nose. Primarily chinook. Not a fan. Very murky, muddy, opaque orange-ish body with a large, fluffy cream-colored head. Ugly stuff, especially for an IPA. Why the fuck would you bottle condition a 6.2% IPA and then state that this beer would be good for 5 years on the label? How fucking retarded is that? Starts highly carbonated before a tea-like herbal flavor comes through in the middle. Grassy and swampy, before this becomes a bit boozy, and super harsh to finish. Very herbal, earthy bitterness that is very dry late. This is ok but not worth the price, and not overly enjoyable. Nit a fan of the hop profile. Loses points for the bullshit on the label about this beer being good for 5 years, too.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to James and Susan for sharing this. It pours dirty brown with gold edges and white head. The aroma is earthy hops, spicy hops, some citrus hops and sort of green grassy hops too. The taste is fresh and grassy sort herbal with spicy hops, earthy hops and grassiness heading to midway. It then picks up some modest acidic like lemon citrus notes into the finish. Nice IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle
A little on the pricy side I decided to splurge anyways. It is amusing that this IPA says it will be good for up to five years. While that may be true for many of the big beers I would heartily recommend not trying that experiment. This beer was still sharp and fresh and near the top of its game however.
Aroma and appearance - A billowing bubbly head flowered energetically as it overwhelmed the chestnut body underneath. Eventually though it settled into a fluid lively liquid. Lemon crisps, freshly squeezed citrus, and clipped green grass shimmered brightly. Vibrant and sharp it perks up the senses. The overall package is like a highly polished piece of furniture with a vase of flowers on top.
Flavor and palate - Carbonated orange rinds, lemon bites, and whole wheat toast burned slightly at the edges create a tropical feel. Soothing to the palate the burst of hops is present but does not assault the senses all at once. A little spendy this is nonetheless a good treat for those times when you want something different.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2015 Re-rate of an old amateur rating. Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Slightly unclear orange color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, hops, fruity. Tastes about the same: malts, hops, fruity, some tropical fruit, a hint of blossom. Decent body, soft yet suitable carbonation. Very nice. 9-4-8-3-15. Another re-rate but only the numbers after I tried another bottle @ home. Basically it was full of tropical fruit hops. Lovely.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I should just avoid IPAs that arent American as I dont really enjoy them. Its far too sweet and far too not hoppy. There is very little bittering hop and the beer has such a sweet malty/doughy taste that the flavoring hops are masked. Im not a big fan.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very fruity nose, tons of hop flavor without much bitterness at all, the lack of bittering increases the malt flavors. Pretty cool but I would like a little more bitterness

From a bottle poured a copper color with a good amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lingering finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

Draft at Rattle n Hum with Linh. Pours a hazy, creamy golden orange body with great white lacing. Aroma is floral, spicy and fruity. Mouthfeel is medium with nice notes of spice, wheat, light citrus and some bitter notes.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Damn good beer. Tastes of Kiwifruit, and and other fruits that I cannot quite identify. The aroma is a lovely pine / citrus, and it has a nice rich mouthfeel. A little bitterness in the back comes along, just to say hi.
