Hazy bronze colour with a nice white head. Wonderfully hop packed aroma that led to a tropical fruit laced flavour, that oozed resinous hop. Perfect bitterness 42.6 IBU. One of my favourite beer!

Wowzer! What a great beer this was. Drank at Birmingham Post Office vaults last weekend, and I highly recommend you go out and try this one. I got a strong passion fruit/exotic fruit aroma, with a delicate malty background. This one’s all about the american hops and the explosive exotic fruits and citrus fruit taste was amazing. No big harsh hop bitterness either, which I find can often detract from the overall taste.

"Bottel" 488 (brewed 11. March, bottled 12. April). Wow! This pours an unclear brownish colour, with a massive, staying head. The aroma is amazing, with a very pleasant fruitiness and sweet hints of strawberry and honey. A full body hits you with a good, caramelly malt, with a slight hint of toffee, and finishes of in a dry, bitter finish of citrus. The carbonation is not really that aggressive, but due to the marked yeast residue it goes on and on, adding to both the palate and the everlasting head. What starts of as a fabulous IPA, ends up as an extraordinary ESB hybrid, with a long, bitter aftertaste.

Orange pour with pinkish hazy hues. Aroma is very floral and extremely citrus hoppy, Amazing taste as well with juicy grapefruit, pineapple, and resinous hops. Finishes leaving the tongue salivating. Good lacing. Excellent ipa from De Molen.

A very nice floral aroma, medium bitter, a wonderful surprise. One of the best IPA’s I’ve tried so far.

Aroma of tropical fruit, lots of mango and pineapple, quite sharp. Taste has bags of tropical fruit, bubblegum note in there. Some earthiness, hint of pepper. Awesome. Really enjoyed this.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2011 33cl bottle bought @Bir&Fud Beer Shop (Rome) - Deep, cloudy impenetrant amber color, dirty white foam. Astonishing aroma of hops, it remind me the Re Ale Extra, but it’s more resinous and dry. Taste is very good, bitter and dry. Notes of resin, oak, citrus, grass and pomegranate. Medium body. Excellent!

Dark yellow, misty beer with a big white head. It smells of barn, malts, nuts a hint of caramel and a a fruit that is not exactly citrus, more like pomegranate. Good taste, a bit sweet but mostly fiercely bitter. Very nice, very drinkable... almost too drinkable, I want to keep enjoying this!

Cask, Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham. Was lucky enough to stumble in and catch this on over the summer. The cask had crossed the north sea courtesty of de wildeman crew in amsterdam to celebrate their ’twinning’; and stonkingly good it was too. Hazy bronze colour with a nice white head. Explosive hop packed aroma that led to a tropical fruit laced flavour that oozed resinous hop. Perfect bitterness. Lip smackingly tasty stuff. A fantastic beer, and I haven’t enjoyed a few pints of anything more than this so far in 2009....

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2012 33cl bottle. Pours deep orange with big white head. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose, plenty of pineapple, orange & grapefruit; woody, resinous aromas too. Taste is again full of tropical hops - pineapple and grapefruit again with brilliant bitterness from the galena hop - a real lip smacker. Slight peppery note near the finish. Smooth malt backbone is there, but the powerful hopping does overpower, which is fine by me! Beautiful IPA - a new favourite of mine.
