18 cl. bottle in to a snifter. 2010 vintage, bottle # 1591.Clear, dark red colour with no head at all. Very powerful aroma, the room is filled with the scent from the beer. Lots of stuff in this one: Dark, sweet dried fruits, matured blue cheese, bourbon, thick brown syrup, caramel, alcohol and to my big surprise: Teriyaki sauce. Taste is light sweet. Full body with a thick texture, no carbonation at all. Long lasting finish with lots of the aroma components and a slight alcohol burn on the palate. Really unusual beer.

nbutler11 brings the big guns! Clear brown pour. Aroma is very sweet, meaty, sugary, honey. Flavor is sweet, honey, agave syrup, maple notes. This is badass.

A little hazy brown colored beer with a small foamy beigehead. The aroma of a little roasted malts, some caramel, vanilla and wood. The taste of bourbon, wood, sweet of strong fruit, with in the back some bitter and alcohol. The aftertaste is sweet, a little bitter, vanilla with some burny alcohol.

Bottle (O’Connor’s, Uppsala) - Thanks Omhper. Brown in colour. Vinous and fruity aroma with notes of leather standing out. Rich and fruity taste with raisins, malt and caramel detected. Very rich and warming finish.

Bottled at O’Connor’, Uppsala. Clear mahogany colour, no head. Strong fruity bourbon aroma. Sweet, full bodied. Juicy, very malty. More fruit than vanilla, sost with arousing alcohol. Port like finish. Intense, good!

Bottle, at The Summer Beer Festival thing in Rome ran by Alex from 4:20. Damn this aroma has huge knackers, sweet, very cakey, big on the oak flavours. Flavour has more wood but tons of cake! How can you not like cake? Dark fruits, yet more cake.

Thanks to Jeffo. Tasted 09/12/2011. Deep amber chestnut pour, nearly still, but with an impressive syrupy thickness, legs of liquor ringing my glass. Big bourbon in the nose, with oak, vanilla, caramel, and malt undercurrent with banana bread, dried fruits. Flavor is sweet, perhaps overly so, fruity with prominent orange, sticky caramel, a dash of bourbon, ending with raisins, licorice, and big alcohol hotness. Syrupy in the mouth, great to sip and share, but quickly overwhelming. Overall I have to give credit for the overall complexity of whats going on here, especially in the aroma, but perhaps a bit too sweet and liqueur-like in the end to be truly great.

0.18l bottle shared with The Crew. A clear caramel brown body with a small almost not worth mentioning bubbly head. Aroma has lots of honey! Sweet heather honey and tones of straw, nuts, dates, rum raisins, alcohol and some woody chocolate hints. Really nice! Slick and sticky mouthfeeling and not much carbonation. Lovely sweet flavors; dates, honey, alcohol, deep candy sugar and lots of crystallized sticky caramel blended with chocolate-tones. Fantastic stuff in this little clear bottle (why a clear bottle on this kind of beer?)

Bottled 18cl (brewed 19102010)
Dark brown color, small white head. Vanilla and bourbon, maybe some licorice. Full-bodied. Sweet, toffeish flavour, some licorice. Strong bourbon-vanilla too. Straight-forward barley wine, very sweet.
