Bottle from De Molen online. Dark yeasty brown body with slight head. Nose is very sour of vinegar. Not at all what I expected. Taste is also very sour in the front, some fruits, it then sort of warms up but I miss what the others tasted. Perhaps a bad bottle?

Bottle from de Molen shop, 03/05/2013. Bottled 10/11/2012. Pours deep brown, small hazy head on the surface. Aroma of cinnamon toast, tart cherries and touch of vinegar, light roast and barrel notes. Taste begins like an oud bruin, fruity and sour, turning to notes of chocolate, bitter roast, lingering tart dry finish. Light body yet a nice almost creamy texture. Not too shabby, well done sour porter.

from Erzbierschof - very dark brown almost black beer, no head retention; solid aroma of vinegar and sour cherries which leaves some place for delicate chocolatey notes; a good malt backbone, moderate carbonation, an increasing sourness takes control of the finish; quite dry with notes of cherries and chocolate - subtle and very pleasant

Très interressante , ce coté acidulé et sour ale ...Un peu déséquilbrée à mon goût mais wilde porter surprenant!

Flat opaque brown colored pour. Force a big-bubbled tannish head. Doesn’t last long. No lacing. Acetic nose. Some roasty notes as well. Little bit of coffee in there as well. A nice sourness in the mouth with notes of chocolate and coffee. A bit of an acetic presence as well. Pretty mellow though on the sourness. Nice and smooth finish. Pretty good.

Bottle @ home. Hazy brown pour, no head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, oak, varnish and some dried fruits. Flavor is slightly sour balsamic and slightly roasty. Low carb, bit thin body but delicate and well balanced. Interesting brew.
